Here's what I've got for you this week...

Thanks to my sister and our foray into community gardening, we discovered kohlrabi, part bulb, part greens, it's like a cross between a radish, jicama, broccoli, and collard greens.
It can be eaten raw or cooked. We tried it roasted, sautéed and shredded for slaw. It's also great as part of a veggie tray with your favorite skinny dip.

Weekly Weight Loss Devotional
I love devotionals. I've been reading them daily for years and recently felt the call to begin sharing a weekly devotional specific to weight loss with you here.
Reading the same devotional over and over every day for at least a week, until I have it committed to memory is powerful. The positive words soak into every part of my being refreshing me and giving me strength.
This week's topic: Smile
Speaking of smiles, check out my latest baby grandson as he smiles in his sleep!
New Discoveries & WW Friendly Food Finds
Have you heard of Al Dente Carba-Nada Pasta (affiliate link)? I hadn't until the company reached out offering a free sample! Definitely one of the perks of having a food blog!
I've made it twice now. I used the roasted garlic fettuccine tossed with a little olive oil and garlic as a simple side dish with slow cooker chicken cacciatore and the egg fettuccine in this easy tuna casserole.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much it tasted like "regular" pasta. Both the taste and texture were excellent. Each generous serving has just 3 SmartPoints!
There are also several Al Dente Plant-Based Pastas - Chickpea Turmeric, Red Lentil Sweet Potato, Green Pea Wild Garlic—that are higher in protein and gluten-free. I haven't had a chance to sample them yet.
