Not just the recipes, but most specifically IF (intermittent fasting) – my sister has been doing it since October and has had fabulous results. I love that you include it with your findings, as well!
It's summertime and we live on a lake – lots of parties and activities going on thru the late Fall. Blessed to live here, for sure – and food and drink bring up challenges quite often!!! I’ve learned to bring a big old bowl of fresh fruit and thin my wine by half by adding diet 7 up! Silly, but it helps. Would help more to not drink at all, but I am not there yet!!

I have not rejoined WW yet..I joined back in 1972, or so, when it came out and only needed to loose 10 lbs. I have seen many changes since then.
Now I need to loose at least 50 lbs. and I feel my age is not helping. A lot of arthritis and limited movement. Trying to commit.

Hi Martha - Things are going well! I am not new to WW - I have been in the program off and on over the years and have been successful. I reached my goal and became a lifetime member, but in the past couple of years, a few - thankfully not too many -- pounds reappeared. And, my husband needed to lose weight too.
I bought your bundle of books that includes the slow cooker recipes. I have to say that the cookbooks and recipes have been a godsend. While it takes effort to buy ingredients and get things cooking, the foods are delicious and make my life so much easier!

Hi Martha - I just finished 19 days working on the road, mostly away from my wonderful kitchen and available great foods. Thanks for your inspiring emails. They enabled me to eat healthy breakfasts, and eat a lot of fish and tons of veggies while traveling.
I would order my salmon with half the plate steamed veggies and a salad with oil & vinegar. I was not a saint the whole time, but I made much better choices while on the road because of your inspiration.

Dear Martha, thank you for sharing this. It made a lot of sense to me and although I’ve likely read this advice over the years, something about your email and the link to recipes just "clicked" for me.
It's hard to describe, but I feel like it's going to be ok, there's lots of options and they are "ok" to have (in moderation, using the weekly pts).
We tend to associate sweet treats with "cheating" or "being bad", but the idea to purposely plan and prepare for them in the week, really freed me. You hit the proverbial nail on the head, deprivation is such a sneaky mental beast that hid in wait with most of my failed diet changes over the years.
This was just a small note to say thank you for being the person to make it "click". Your work and website are much appreciated.

My Italian heritage was doing a happy dance while eating dinner. My husband, the picky eater, couldn't believe how Old World it tasted. It was something my grandmother or mom would have made.

The Aroma Of The Skinny Slow Cooker Chicken Puttanesca Is Swoon Worthy
Hi Martha, I made the Skinny Slow Cooker Chicken Puttanesca cooked on HIGH for 4 hours. The aroma was swoon worthy and reminded me of an Italian restaurant my husband and I used to frequent. The texture and juiciness of the chicken was outrageous and all the flavors from ingredients melded beautifully. I'm 100% Italian and this dish is definitely authentic fare. This recipe is going into my rotation file, so delicious and my husband loved it just as much a I did. Keep them coming.

Martha - thank you so much for your inspiration! I've been doing Weight Watchers since October 1. Hitting some roadblocks cuz of health issues but pressing on.
I'm starting a 30 day gratitude accountability "experiment" with my massage therapist and thinking with all the reading I've been doing, that gratitude is a universal and Christian principle that helps us with many things we're dealing with in life.
I'm hoping gratitude will help me with my weight loss goals. I think it might be why God asks us to be thankful for everything; our food, the fact that we have an appetite and can eat, the fact that we can cook and even for the body he gave us.

Hi Martha - I made your slow cooker chicken and gravy yesterday. We all LOVED it! And, we have enough for another meal too.
Martha - I actually joined WW after I started making your recipes. I'd joined Weight Watchers twice before (and tried many other diets), but I always gave up because the food choices seemed too restrictive.
After a few months of using your recipes, especially the slow-cooker ones which I can freeze in individual portions, I decided I might be able to stick with the program this time. I've lost 35 pounds so far, and a lot of that is due to having your recipes available!

Martha - I just wanted to say how awesome your newsletter and recipes are. I always look forward to seeing what coming up next. One recipe brought a tear... Skinny Slow Cooker Porcupine Meatballs as it was a family favorite of my partners and we haven't had them in a decade - since her mom died after living 10 years with Alzheimers.
