Martha - I actually joined WW after I started making your recipes. I'd joined Weight Watchers twice before (and tried many other diets), but I always gave up because the food choices seemed too restrictive.
After a few months of using your recipes, especially the slow-cooker ones which I can freeze in individual portions, I decided I might be able to stick with the program this time. I've lost 35 pounds so far, and a lot of that is due to having your recipes available!

Dear Martha, thank you for sharing this. It made a lot of sense to me and although I’ve likely read this advice over the years, something about your email and the link to recipes just "clicked" for me.
It's hard to describe, but I feel like it's going to be ok, there's lots of options and they are "ok" to have (in moderation, using the weekly pts).
We tend to associate sweet treats with "cheating" or "being bad", but the idea to purposely plan and prepare for them in the week, really freed me. You hit the proverbial nail on the head, deprivation is such a sneaky mental beast that hid in wait with most of my failed diet changes over the years.
This was just a small note to say thank you for being the person to make it "click". Your work and website are much appreciated.

I'm Getting So Much Inspiration From Your Slow Cooker Recipes
Hi Martha - I'm getting so much inspiration from your slow cooker recipes. My slow cooker is at least 30 years old and still working beautifully. It has one feature I love which is the ability to cook on HIGH for an hour, then auto switch to LOW. I haven't come across any new models that do this and my old friend is still cooking perfectly.
Which it did yesterday with your apple cranberry chicken and what a fabulous recipe that turned out to be. Amazing that so few ingredients can produce such wonderful results!
I served it with sweet potatoes and a saute of multi-colored peppers and spinach. Not only was the dinner absolutely delicious, but the plate was just bursting with color. Thank you for your inspiration and a really delicious dinner!!

The one sheet pan dinners have been life savers for my family!
We have tried the Rosemary Chicken with Potatoes and the Chicken Fajitas.
Tonight we are going to try the Chicken Parmesan with Zucchini, and we have on our list to try the Shrimp with Broccoli.
Each evening my husband and I chop the veggies and assemble everything on the cookie sheet and in 30 minutes we have a super yummy dinner!
We love the smell of the garlic and herbs as it is cooking.
In the past we have done a lot of frozen food because we are exhausted and in a hurry.
But now, in about the same time, we can make a healthy and very satisfying meal.

Hi Martha - Things are going well! I am not new to WW - I have been in the program off and on over the years and have been successful. I reached my goal and became a lifetime member, but in the past couple of years, a few - thankfully not too many -- pounds reappeared. And, my husband needed to lose weight too.
I bought your bundle of books that includes the slow cooker recipes. I have to say that the cookbooks and recipes have been a godsend. While it takes effort to buy ingredients and get things cooking, the foods are delicious and make my life so much easier!
BTW - I am on the 28-Day Challenge. Some of the advice I knew to do already, but there are some great ideas I am incorporating into my lifestyle!

Tried Your Slow Cooker Braised Chicken & Vegetables and It Was Amazing!
Good morning Martha. We tried your recipe for slow cooker braised chicken and vegetables this weekend and it was amazing!
The chicken was juicy, tender and very well cooked. The vegetables were really good and flavorful. The only step I added to this recipe is actually roasting the chicken, so I put it in the roasting pan and roasted it for 15 minutes at 350F.
It's a definite keeper - thanks for sharing!!

Hi Martha, I made the Skinny Slow Cooker Chicken Puttanesca cooked on HIGH for 4 hours. The aroma was swoon worthy and reminded me of an Italian restaurant my husband and I used to frequent. The texture and juiciness of the chicken was outrageous and all the flavors from ingredients melded beautifully. I'm 100% Italian and this dish is definitely authentic fare. Yay, thank you!! I too am single and following (AND LOVING) the new WW Freestyle Plan! So far I have lost 56 pounds (since the middle of May). I still have a ways to go, but stick with it. I Made A Few Changes To Your Carrot Cake Baked Oatmeal And It Came Out Perfect!
Hi Martha - I tried the Slow Cooker Carrot Cake Oatmeal recipe. I tweaked it slightly in that I used unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk. I used a ¼ cup of brown sugar and two stevia Sweetner packets. I baked it in a casserole dish, as opposed to the slow cooker, for 60 minutes at 325F degrees. It came out perfect, moist and delicious. I also cut it into 9 pieces instead of 8.
