Recipe Notes, Variations and Substitutions
Use PLAIN nonfat yogurt (Greek or regular). If you use Greek yogurt it will have a “tarter” taste . If it isn’t sweet enough add a little extra no calorie sweetener.
Use only 1 tablespoon of instant pudding mix (sugar free) to 3/4 cup of yogurt. This is one case where more is definitely NOT better. The mixture will get much too thick and pasty!
If you opt for regular instant pudding (not sugar free) use 2 tablespoons of dry mix. Calories and WW Points will be higher.
If the mixture seems to thick, add a little water (1-2 tablespoons) until you achieve your desired consistency.
Enjoy this immediately. It can get hard and dry when left to sit in the refrigerator.
Possible toppings/mix-ins:
- Berries (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries)
- Freeze dried fruit
- Crushed pineapple
- Chopped peaches
- Crushed granola bars
- Grape-nuts
- Light whipped topping (for a more mousse-like consistency)
- Mini chocolate chips
Reader Variations:
- “I use the cheesecake pudding mix, splash of vanilla and top it with low sugar cherry pie filling.”
- “Pistachio with the yogurt, 2 tablespoons of cool whip, and some frozen blueberries.”
- “I add a little of that too, some dry oats, vanilla protein powder with some fresh fruit.”
- “I love the white chocolate flavor.”
- “I use sugar free vanilla pudding, honey vanilla Greek yogurt, frozen raspberries top with fat free cool whip. So yummy and guilt free.

I hate to say it I sure wanted it to be good but it was awful! Maybe it was because I used the Greek yogart.
Hi Dot,
Everyone’s tastes are so different! Lots of folks love it!! Sorry it didn’t work for you. ~Martha
Can you make this with almond milk yogurt?
Hi Bonnie, I haven’t tried it with almond milk yogurt. I think you would want an unsweetened one to avoid the fluff being too sweet. If the kind you are using is sweetened I would try it with less of the pudding mix. Hope this helps. ~Martha
Can you freeze it like popsicles?
I haven’t tried freezing them. If you do, would love to know how they turn out for you! ~Martha
Hi, Martha! Thanks for this idea. Since no fat Greek yogurt is zero and the sf pudding mix is zero, wouldn’t this snack be zero WW points? Thanks!
Hi Bobbie, It will be 0 to 1 depending on how much of the pudding mix you use according to the WW Recipe Builder. ~Martha
Do I have to use Greek Yogurt? I do NOT like it?Thank you
Of course not. Recipes are just suggestions. You can use whatever yogurt you want 🙂
Hey Brenda, Greek Yogurt is definitely more sour. However it is much healither. I find that if you can find a “vanilla” greek yogurt, it takes the sourness away. The “Light and Fit Vanilla non-fat greek yogurt” has 0 fat, 2 sugars, 14 grams of protein, 90 calories, and is not sour AT ALL, its got a LOVELY vanilla taste and it goes beautifully with this recipe, I am snacking on it now.
Love this!
