Welcome to my Weight Watchers Friendly Weekly Recipe and Link Roundup

Encouragement and inspiration are critical whenever you’re trying to change your habits. This is especially true when the habits involve eating better, losing weight and creating a healthy balanced lifestyle.

Sticking with the slow and steady sensible balanced approach to lasting change can seem dull and out of step when everywhere you look people seem to be swinging between overindulgent excess and extreme deprivation based diets.

My mission is to provide you with a constant supply of motivating articles and  Easy Healthy WW friendly recipes to encourage your pursuit of a happy, healthy, balanced life.

Here are this week’s hand-picked selections, as well as the newest and most popular recipes on Simple Nourished Living this week. Enjoy!

WW Weekly Recipe & Link Roundup

WW Weekly Topic: What’s Your Why?

What’s your reason for wanting to lose weight (or keep it off) or for wanting to become healthier? What does your WHY look like to you?

Keeping this in the forefront of your mind throughout the ups and downs of your journey will help provide the motivation required to stick with it.

At this age and stage of my life, my WHY is much different than when I first embarked on my journey decades ago.

Now, rather than a specific number on the scale, I’m much more interested in maintaining my health while aging gracefully and vibrantly. This is what keeps me committed to daily walks, time on my yoga mat and nourishing food choices.

Weekly Weight Loss Devotional

I love devotionals. I’ve been reading them daily for years and recently felt the call to begin sharing a weekly devotional specific to weight loss with you here.

Reading the same devotional over and over every day for at least a week, until I have it committed to memory is powerful. The positive words soak into every part of my being refreshing me and giving me strength.

I kick things off with this one, entitled, Feeling Good.

As a person who feels the need to munch when angry or anxious, this article really resonated with me: How to Stay Mentally Strong When You’re Dealing with Uncomfortable Emotions by Amy Morin, Author of 12 Things Mentally Strong People Don’t Do.

I discovered years ago that feeling good and focusing on happiness were essential ingredients in living a happy, healthy and slim life, I loved the advice shared in How to Be Happy: The Ten Secrets to Happiness.

Made in the slow cooker with zero SmartPoints from a confessed vegetable hater this Golden Chickpea and Cauliflower Soup is at the top of my “must make” list.

Can’t wait to try this Chicken Tamale Bake the next time a craving for Mexican food strikes.

The perfect healthy zero points fall snack – Air Fryer Apple Chips!

This healthy english muffin pizza a lighter healthier version of a childhood classic.

Cheesy Chili Nachos, a lighter healthier alternative to one of my all-time favorites.
