Today’s Food for Thought: Success requires self control

If we are going to be successful in life we are going to have to develop self control. It takes effort, especially in the beginning, but it is worth the effort. Too often we tell ourselves, “We can’t because it is too hard.” But that’s an excuse and a lie.

We are much stronger than we realize.  I encourage you to stop saying, “I can’t lose weight because I get too hungry.” Or ” I can’t exercise because it hurts too much.”

Focus on the positive – what you CAN do. Not what you can’t do. It’s where your power is. Start small. Really really small. Find ways to make what you want easy or easier. Celebrate even your tiniest wins. Every little positive change matters!
