Why I Love this WW-Friendly Turkey Cheeseburger Pie for Two
- Perfect for Two: Just the right size for couples or small households—no mountains of leftovers.
- Lighter Comfort Food: All the flavors of a cheeseburger pie, but slimmed down with lean ground turkey, reduced-fat cheese, and fat-free cream of mushroom soup.
- Quick & Easy: Made with Bisquick baking mix, this pie comes together in minutes and bakes up golden and delicious.
- Veggie-Packed: Frozen mixed vegetables add nutrition, color, and flavor without extra fuss.
- WW Friendly: A healthier twist on a comfort food classic that fits into my WeightWatchers plan.
Ingredients & Substitutions
- Bisquick baking mix – The classic shortcut for cheeseburger pie. You can substitute with a homemade Bisquick mix or another all-purpose baking mix. I think Kodiak mix (affiliate link) also would work.
- Water – Helps bind the crust. Milk or unsweetened almond milk can also be used for a richer flavor.
- Egg white – Keeps the crust light. You can use one whole egg if you prefer.
- Low-fat shredded cheddar cheese – Adds that signature cheeseburger flavor while keeping the fat lower. Reduced-fat mozzarella or a cheddar blend would also work.
- Lean ground turkey – A lighter alternative to ground beef. You can swap with ground chicken or extra-lean beef if desired.
- Condensed fat-free, low-sodium cream of mushroom soup – Helps bind the filling and keeps it creamy. Cream of chicken or even cream of celery would also work.
- Frozen mixed vegetables – Adds nutrition and flavor. You can use fresh vegetables or swap in your favorites like peas, green beans, or chopped spinach.

How to Make Turkey Cheeseburger Pie Step by Step
Step 1: Gather and prepare all ingredients.

Step 2: Prepare and Form the Crust
Preheat oven to 400F degrees. Lightly spray 8-X4-inch loaf pan (affiliate link) with nonstick cooking spray. In a small mixing bowl, combine Bisquick baking mix, water, egg white and 1/4 cup cheese until thoroughly combined. Spread evenly in prepared pan.

Step 3: Prepare the turkey vegetable filling/topping.
In a medium skillet, cook the turkey over medium-high heat until thoroughly cooked. Drain off any excess liquid and stir in soup and mixed vegetables, continuing to cook until mixture is heated through.

Step 4: Assemble the pie.
Pour turkey mixture over baking mix layer in prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle remaining cheese (2 tablespoons) over the top.

Step 5: Bake
Bake for about 20 minutes, or until it’s cooked through, bubbling and the edges turn golden.

Recipe Notes, Additions and Substitutions
- Substitute 1/4 pound ground chicken breast, or extra lean ground beef, for the turkey.
- Use your favorite blend of frozen mixed vegetables.
- Substitute your favorite flavor of cheese. I used cheddar but American, Swiss or Jack would all be good.
