WW Recipe of the Day:  6 Sensational Salmon Recipes with 4 WW Points or Less

“Something magical happens when you stop thinking life will be better one day, and, instead, you focus on making today the best day of your life.” – Tonya Leigh

As I was reaching into the freezer to pull out a package of salmon I paused and gave thanks for my dear friend, Erin.

Erin doesn’t like fish and her dad owns a fishing camp in Alaska, so she regularly blesses me with the most beautiful Alaskan salmon and halibut. Talk about a generous friend!

Today I’ve got six sensational WW friendly salmon recipes, some using fresh or frozen fillets and some that call for canned salmon in case you don’t have easy access to the fresh or frozen fish. Enjoy!

Today’s Food For Thought…

Spiff up the spot where you spend the most time in your home. Even if you don’t think it’s bothering you, physical cutter can translate to mental clutter, causing more stress and depleting your energy. Plus, it can lead to overeating. A study in the journal Environment and Behavior discovered that women in a messy kitchen ate nearly three times as many calories as those with cleaner countertops because their surroundings made them feel more out of control. I cannot begin to express what feedback like this means to me…

“Hi! I have followed you on Facebook for quite a while and have enjoyed a number of your crock pot recipes. Delicious!! I work at a small hospital in Kansas. I am the grant coordinator for a grant we received from Blue Cross Blue Shield. The grant is for improving health in our community through healthy food choices and physical activity. I am going to start publishing healthy recipes on our Facebook page, as well as putting those recipes on cards that will be available at our local supermarket. I wondered if I could use some of your recipes in both places, giving you credit for them, of course. Thank you!! ” – Cheri M.

  1. I’m a lifetime Weight Watchers member, and what that means is that I’ve joined and lost weight, stopped eating well, gained weight, joined again, and on and on. I’m 80 now and can’t afford such behavior–for the sake of my joints, my heart, and my general well-being. Your recipes have made some of this actually fun because I do love to cook and love to cook good tasting food. What you have offered helps me meet that criteria. I’ve lost 20 pounds now and have another ten to fifteen to go, and I’m hoping to continue to include your recipes in my journey toward a healthier life for whatever life I have left. Thank you!
