Quality Essential Oils Aren’t Cheap, so when I buy one I like to learn multiple ways to use it.  I think the more you learn about essential oils, the more you’ll begin to incorporate them into your everyday life.  And since we love to share here at www.simplenourishedliving.com, we thought it would be fun to share this information with our readers.

We are kicking things off with lavender oil, one of our all time favorites.

Here are fun ways to get more Lavender in your life

  1. Dab a drop or two of essential oil on your temples, wrists or neck before bedtime
  2. Use a diffuser that sprays a fine mist of water and essential oil into the air
  3. Take a warm bath with a few drops of lavender oil and epsom salt added to soak away stress
  4. Smooth a lavender-scented body lotion into your skin before you hit the sheets
  5. Treat your hands with a DIY lavender lotion bar
  6. Place two drops of oil on the collar of your pajamas
  7. Spritz lavender oil on your pillowcases
  8. Add a few drops to the bottoms of feet to prepare for a restful night’s sleep
  9. Apply 1-2 drops to soothes occasional skin irritations and minor cuts, scrapes or scratches
  10. Lavender reduces the appearance of skin imperfections
  11. Freshen your linen closet, mattress, car, or the air with a light mist of Lavender combined with water in a spray bottle
  12. Makeover your laundry room, and remember to add a few drops to wool dryer balls for great smelling clothes
  13. Use it in cooking to soften citrus flavors and add a flavorful twist to marinades, baked goods, and desserts
  14. Take Lavender internally to reduce anxious feelings*
  15. Take Lavender internally for a peaceful sleep*
  16. Add 1-2 drops of Lavender to any hair shampoo to help keep the scalp looking clean
  17. To keep hair looking thick and healthy add a few drops to any conditioner or hair treatment

  23. Apply it to the back of your neck to lessen the feelings of stress*
  24. When diluted and massaged on the abdomen of infants or when added to bath water, Lavender can promote calming and soothing feelings
