Ingredients
- Reduced-fat cream cheese (Neufchâtel) – the creamy base of this cheesecake, with about one-third less fat than regular cream cheese. Use full-fat cream cheese if you prefer a richer dessert.
- Truvia (affiliate link) or other sweetener – keeps the dessert lower in sugar. Swap with sugar, honey, or another sweetener of your choice to taste.
- Plain nonfat Greek yogurt – adds protein and tang while keeping the filling light. Low-fat or whole-milk Greek yogurt can be used for extra creaminess.
- Whipped topping – makes the filling fluffy and airy. Homemade whipped cream works too if you prefer less processed ingredients.
- Lemon juice – brightens the flavor and balances the sweetness. Bottled works in a pinch, but fresh is best.
- Vanilla extract – enhances all the flavors with a subtle sweetness.
- Lemon zest – adds a pop of citrus aroma. Orange or lime zest can be used for a twist.
- Fresh blueberries – sweet, juicy topping that pairs perfectly with cheesecake. Swap in strawberries, raspberries, or a mixed berry blend.
- Graham crackers, crushed – for that classic cheesecake crust flavor. Digestive biscuits or vanilla wafer crumbs are good substitutes.

Cooking Notes, Substitutions and Variations
- Another option: Try my Spoonable Strawberry Cheesecake Dessert, which serves 8 and is made in a pie dish instead of individual cups.
- Fruit options: I used blueberries here, but you can swap in strawberries, cherries, pineapple, peaches, or any fruit you love. Mixed berries are always a hit too.
- Sweetener swaps: I used Truvia (affiliate link) (each packet equals about 2 teaspoons of sugar). Feel free to use your preferred sweetener, sugar, or honey to taste.
- Serving size: This recipe makes 4 individual servings, but it doubles easily if you’re serving a crowd.
