How to Make Single Serving Crispy Rice Treat

Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients: Crispy Rice Cereal (or any cereal of your choice), light butter, and mini marshmallows

Crisp Rice Cereal such as Special K or Rice Krispies, Butter, Mini Marshmallows

Step 2: Place marshmallows and butter in a microwave (affiliate link)-safe mug. Microwave (affiliate link) for 30 seconds, or until melted.

Step 3: Add cereal, mix, and press down to form the treat. Let cool until set, about 10 minutes.

No Rice Krispies?
Any crisp rice cereal will work, I used crushed up Special K

Different Cereals?
The sky’s the limit. Consider trying cornflakes, cheerios, fruit loops, frosted flakes, fruity pebbles, cocoa krispies, golden grahams, cap’n crunch, trix, lucky charms, cinnamon toast crunch, reese’s puffs, etc.

Additions?
Consider peanut butter, Nutella, mini chocolate chips, sprinkles, etc.

Crispy Rice Bars Treat in a Mug

Ingredients 

  • 18 mini marshmallows
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons light butter
  • 1/2 cup Crispy Rice Cereal (I used crushed up Special K)

Instructions 

  • Place the marshmallows and butter in a microwave-safe mug. Microwave on High for 30 seconds, or until melted.
  • Add the cereal and stir to combine. Press down to form the treat.
  • Let cool until set, about 10 minutes. Remove from the mug and enjoy!

    Rice crispy squares are one of my favorite things to eat! I love them so much that I could literally eat the entire pan. This recipe was exactly what I needed. It allows me to enjoy one serving without the temptation to devour a 9×13″ pan.

    Thank You! This is just what I need when I want something sweet and not eat the whole pan. Also thanks so much for keeping Points Plus points on your recipes. I tried the New ww plans and they didn’t work for me…went back to PP and doing great!
