Weight Watchers Recipe of the Day: 2 & 3 Ingredient Dough Recipes & Ways to Use It
WW friendly 2 & 3-ingredient dough has taken the internet world by storm for good reason. By combining equal parts self-rising flour (or regular flour and baking powder) and plain Greek yogurt, anyone can experience the joy of baking from scratch, while infusing your dough with an extra boost of protein for more satisfaction.
Because Greek yogurt is a ZeroPoint™ food on WW PersonalPoints plans, the only SmartPoints you need to count come from the flour (3 SmartPoints for ¼ cup).
So Points conscious WWs around the globe have been quick to find ways to turn this super simple 2-ingredient dough into a variety of yeasted, bread-y things, from bagels and pretzel bites to pizza, flatbread, and cinnamon rolls for fewer SmartPoints.
What is Self-Rising Flour?
Self-rising flour is a combination of all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
If you don't have self-rising flour for two-ingredient dough on hand, it is easy to make your own: Add 1-½ teaspoons of baking powder ¼ teaspoon salt to each cup of all-purpose flour. Whole wheat or gluten-free flours should also work.
How Many Calories and WW Points in this 2-Ingredient Dough Recipe?
According to my calculations, each serving of 2-ingredient dough made from ¼-cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt and ¼-cup flour has about 130 calories and:
4 *SmartPoints (Green plan)
3 *SmartPoints (Blue plan)
3 *SmartPoints (Purple plan)
4 *PointsPlus (Old plan)

Skinny 2-Ingredient Dough Everything Bagels
The first thing I ever made with 2-ingredient dough was bagels...
I divided the dough into 4 equal pieces, rolled each into a 6- to 7-inch snake, then pinched the ends together to form a circle. Placed them on the baking sheet (affiliate link), brushed each one with beaten egg white over the tops, sprinkled with everything bagel seasoning (affiliate link) and baked at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown.

Lauren's 2-Ingredient Dough Variation with Egg
Combine 1 cup flour, 1 cup plain fat-free Greek yogurt, ½ teaspoon baking soda, ½ teaspoon baking powder and 1 egg. This makes the dough a little runny but it is about the same as drop scones. Each recipe makes 6 large scones or buns. Cook each recipe at 350F degrees for about 20 minutes
This is an extremely flexible recipe. Here are some variation ideas:
- Multigrain: Use multiple flavors of grains for half of the flour.
- Italian Bread: Add Italian seasoning (0 pts) and add cheese, be sure to count the extra points.
- Sweet Bread: Add stevia or splenda and other spices if using fruit.

I have allergies to anything high in citric acid and also tomatoes. Why do so many recipes have tomato and/or lemon, pineapple, orange, and lime juice in them? I make some without these ingredients but they don't seem to taste right.
Martha McKinnon
Hi Belle, It has to do with our tastebuds. Acidity adds a bright, fresh flavor to many dishes that may seem dull and flat without it. ~Martha

Everything Seasoning
1T sesame seeds toasted.
1/2 T poppy seeds
1t onion powder
1 t garlic powder
Mix well. I refrigerate because It makes more than I can use in a month.
Lauren Beno
try your favorite flavorings vanilla, almond, peppermint, raspberry, rum, brandy as replacements for your allergies. for tomatoes use cheese. People allergic to tomatoes make a white pizza using alfredo sauce with all the usual toppings, or an onion sauce.
Gayle
Martha I absolutely love all these wonderful recipes! Thank you for all your work and research.
Question on the 2 ingredient dough. How long does it last once mixed together and how long do the baked products last.
Thanks so much
Martha McKinnon
Hi Gayle, Because the dough is so quick and easy to mix together, I haven't made it ahead but imagine it would last 2-3 days in the refrigerator. As for the baked products, they should be fine wrapped well at room temperature for 2 -3 days. If you plan to keep them any longer, I would freeze them. Hope this helps. ~Martha

I LOVE this 2 ingredient dough! Not only do I love the results, literally everyone I’ve given a bagel to try raves about them. When I make bagels I sometimes add some chopped pecans and some craisins. I’m a weight watcher so I count that. it turns them into 4 points each and is well worth it. I also have made (and love) the flatbread. I share it as well. This is the most amazing recipe yet!!!!

Have you experimented with adding some riced cauliflower to the 2 ingredient pizza dough? Just thinking of ways to make that dough bigger for the same amount of points. Big appetite here.
Martha McKinnon
Haven't experimented with adding cauliflower to the dough. I usually satisfy my big appetite with lots of salad alongside my pizza. If you do try it would love to know how it turns out! ~Martha

Hi Martha! I don't have self rising flour. I usually use all purpose flour. If I use the regular flour does it come out the same or should I buy self-rising to make these. I am looking forward to making some of the recipes as I love my carbs. Hope to hear from you soon.
