Ingredient Suggestions

  • Gelatin Flavors: Try orange, strawberry, raspberry, or lemon for variety.
  • Yogurt: Use fat-free plain yogurt or Greek yogurt. (Greek will give a slightly thicker texture.)
  • Fruit Mix-Ins: Add fresh or frozen fruit like strawberries, blueberries, peaches, or canned pineapple (in juice, drained).
  • Optional Swap: Cottage cheese can be used instead of yogurt for a protein boost and slightly tangier flavor.

Zero Point Jello Yogurt Fluff

A light and delicious low calorie sweet treat you can make in a variety of flavors
Prep: 10 minutes
Cook: 0 minutes
Chill Time: 30 minutes
Total: 40 minutes

Ingredients 

  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 1 packet sugar-free gelatin (4 serving size)
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • ice cubes
  • 1 cup plain non-fat yogurt (regular or Greek)

Instructions 

  • Pour the boiling water into the blender (affiliate link). Add the gelatin.
  • Cover the blender, being sure to hold the lid down to prevent the lid from popping off because of steam, and blend at low speed until the gelatin is completely dissolved, about 30 seconds.
  • Combine the cold water and ice cubes to make 1-1/4 cups. Add to the gelatin in the blender and stir until the ice is partially melted.
  • Add the yogurt. Cover and blend at high speed for 30 to 45 seconds.
  • Divide the mixture evenly between 5 dessert glasses, bowls or ramekins. Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.

Any flavor of sugar free gelatin will work. Our favorites are orange, strawberry and raspberry.
Experiment with adding and/or topping your yogurt fluff with different fruit – strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, canned pineapple, chopped apples, pears etc.
You can use either fat free plain yogurt or fat free plain Greek yogurt. You can also substitute cottage cheese for the yogurt if you prefer.
The directions suggest making your fluff in the blender. If you prefer you could use a wire whisk and bowl or electric mixer instead.

      I’m not sure why this would happen. I’m sure it tasted just as delicious! ~Martha

    2. The jello recipes I have made that separate are because the jello mixture is to warm/hot when mixing in the cream ingredient. You have to make sure the jello mixture is cold or else it will seperate.

      Fill a measuring cup with 1/2 cup water. Add the ice cubes required to bring the level in the measuring cup to 1-1/4 cups. The exact number of ice cubes will depend on their size. Hope this helps. ~Martha

    Thank you so much for this recipe. My 85 year old mother has loved the name brand version of this treat for years. It has become very hard to find, expensive when I do find it, and not nearly as protein/nutrient rich as this recipe. To her delight this is even tastier and, since homemade, has that touch of made with love. Thank you for sharing.

    1. Would the version she used to love be “Fruche”? I’ve just put my first batch in the fridge and praying it’s like that – I used to LOVE fruche!

  2. I think it looks good and sounds good..
    But using a lot of jello recipes you are getting the red40 and yellow ,orange , green chemical ingredients. A lot of other nasty ingredients in jello too.
    WW always encourages you to read the back of the box.?
    Losing weight also means being careful what you put into your body.

      Oh my goodness is this yummy!
      I tried it with strawberry banana jello, and Fage nonfat plain yogurt.
      I didn’t use my blender, I used my electric mixer, and it came out wonderfully!
