Cool, Sweet and Zero Point? Yes, Please.
Staying calm, cool, and collected during the blazing desert summer isn’t always easy. My go-to survival strategies? Escaping into air-conditioned movie theaters, devouring good books, and planning quick getaways whenever possible.
And then there’s watermelon.
I almost always have a container of chilled, cubed watermelon front and center in the fridge—ready to grab when the urge for something sweet and refreshing hits. It’s naturally hydrating, zero points on Weight Watchers for most, and incredibly satisfying when you’re trying to avoid that nightly dive into the freezer for ice cream.

While a cold slice of watermelon is perfect on its own, there are so many fun, easy, and WW-friendly ways to enjoy it in recipes too. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite ideas—from simple healthy snacks to no-cook meals and refreshing drinks.

Making sure I get a good nights sleep by going to bed early.
My love is for reading and walking and all outdoors!
Naps and nice long baths!
I do these things by having me time.At least one hour per day.
I show love for myself by taking “me” time by attending Weight Watcher meetings. And compassion, that instead of beating myself up over a weight gain, with the support of WW leader, staff and all attendees of the program, getting a new resolve to try a little harder the following week(s). Kindness is when another member gets down by not having successes, you feel their discouragement and offer them the encouragement they need at that moment.
I show myself love by eating healthy foods that will help improve my health.
I am not as hard on myself as I used to be. I celebrate victories…esp non scale victories like clothes pitting better. I am on the heart transplant list , so every time I lose a pound, or gain strength is a victory for me!
I show myself love and kindness by having “me time.” My favorite is a weekly massage,
I try to have “me time” for 10-15 minutes each day. It is not always easy and some times its at 11:30pm
I show myself love and kindness by making sure I make time to get to the gym for aqua aerobics and meet up with friends I’ve met in class and sharing good times.
