WW Recipe of the Day: Easy VitaTops Trifle for Two
One of my favorite desserts was chocolate trifle growing up. My Mom would make a huge dish with layers of cake, pudding, whipped topping and crushed up heath bars. It was so delicious.
Here's a lighter, healthier 2-serving version that is quick and easy to make.
Skinny VitaTops Trifle
Why is it Called a Trifle?
The word "trifle" comes from the old French term "trufle," and literally means something whimsical or of little consequence. Typically it's made with layers of sponge cake and custard.
Trifle is a great dessert for a crowd, but when you're cooking for two it becomes more of a challenge. With this simple recipe you can enjoy a small portion in minutes with a lot fewer calories.
