Everyone will love this super easy slow cooker Italian chicken. With just 2 ingredients, it is perfect when you are short of time or feeling incredibly lazy but still need to get dinner on the table.
All you need are frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts and a jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce. (If you are concerned about cooking from frozen, you can always fully defrost your chicken before starting this recipe.)

I sometimes add a little more garlic powder, splash of red wine and extra teaspoon or two of dried Italian seasoning, or oregano, to jazz things up a bit.
This is one of my favorite, super-easy, busy day go-to meals.
But since Rod’s not a huge red sauce fan, I don’t make it as often as I might. He prefers this creamy 3-Ingredient version made with Italian dressing and light cream cheese.

I have recipes that call for frozen chicken breasts in slow cookers and they are delicious. No reason to worry.
Thanks, Trisha!
Is is okay to put frozen chicken in crock pot???? I was always told that it is unsafe (not healthy).. Please advise… this looks soooo delicious.. I can’t wait to make it~
Elyce
Hi Elyce,
If you are concerned, use thawed chicken. I think it’s always best to do what you feel safest/most comfortable with. If you use thawed chicken the cooking time will be less, depending on the size of your chicken breasts and how hot your slow cooker cooks. When I cooked thawed boneless skinless chicken in the slow cooker it’s usually done in about 4 hours.
Hi Martha, I am so anxious to make this recipe for lunch next week. Is it 4 hrs on high, i am thinking? Thanks, love your recipes. Annemarie
Hi Annemarie, I haven’t tried it on high, but would think that it would be done in 3 to 4 hours on HIGH. Hope this helps!
