The pork cooks slowly in a flavorful combination of tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, garlic and Italian seasonings until it’s tender enough to pull apart with a fork.
And the sauce? Absolutely delectable!
This is exactly the kind of easy, satisfying dinner I love.

Why You’ll Love This Italian Pork Roast
- So easy to make. Just combine the ingredients and let the slow cooker do the work.

My Tips and Easy Variations
Use a lean pork roast. Pork sirloin roast is a good choice. Cooking time will depend on the cut and thickness of the meat.
Fresh garlic works, too. Substitute 3 to 4 cloves of minced garlic for the garlic powder.
Add vegetables. Sliced onions, bell peppers or mushrooms would be delicious cooked along with the pork.
Try another meat. This flavorful tomato sauce would also be good with pork chops, beef roast or boneless chicken thighs. Adjust the cooking time to suit the meat you’re using.
Don’t waste the sauce! It’s one of the best parts of this recipe, so be sure to serve plenty of it with the pork.
What to Serve with Italian Pork Roast
One of the things I like best about this recipe is how many ways you can serve it.
For a traditional Italian-style dinner, spoon the pork and tomato sauce over pasta.
For a lighter, lower-carb meal, try it with spaghetti squash or zucchini noodles.
Add a side of steamed broccoli, green beans or a simple green salad, and dinner is done.
It’s delicious and family-friendly. At least it was with my family.

Yes, you cut it up to serve. Hope this helps. ~Martha

Hi! This recipe is very good. I have also used beef roast as well. That is very good as well. I enjoy the beef a little bit better. Served over mashed cauliflower. LOVE it.
HI! Does this recipe use I can of tomatoes? Or 2 14.8 ounce cans. Thanks. Love your recipes!
I used 28oz, but I don’t see why 2 smaller cans wouldn’t work. 🙂
