Slimming Bites: Inspiration & Recipes for Weight Watchers
Encouragement and inspiration are critical whenever you’re trying to change your habits. This is especially true when the habits involve eating better, losing weight and creating a healthy balanced lifestyle.
Sticking with the slow and steady sensible balanced approach to lasting change can seem dull and out of step when compared with our society’s obsession with the opposing messages of overindulgent excess on one hand, and extreme fad diets on the other.
My mission is to provide you with a constant supply of motivating articles and enticing Weight Watchers friendly recipes to encourage your pursuit of a happy, healthy, balanced life. Here are this week’s hand-picked selections. I hope you find the time and space to sit down, perhaps with a cup of coffee or tea, or glass of wine or bubbly water, and savor them!

The winner of the Essential Oils Package is: Maggie, who said, “The easiest thing for me is all of the websites and blogs available for me to use to keep me on track and to give me inspiration for recipes and meal planning. The hardest part for me is when we are on vacation and friends don’t eat as healthy as we do. Always try to do my best but it is challenging when fatty meats and lots of carbs are served at every meal.”

The most challenging part of living a healthy lifestyle happens at work. Every time I walk into the kitchen there are so many unhealthy foods on the counter! I am seriously considering putting a microwave in my cubicle so I can avoid that kitchen altogether!
The easiest part is finding new and tasty food options thanks to sites like this. Thanks for all you do to provide options!
What I find the easiest about living a healthy balanced life is that I really enjoy cooking with fresh veggies and herbs so cooking is much more enjoyable for me. The most challenging thing though is that I have a 5 year old child with Autism who has extreme sensory issues with food so he only likes very limited food. I am always having to cook his meal separate which is not always the healthiest. Sometimes I am so tired that I really just want to cook his meal for the rest of us and not have to cook twice!
In this era of internet communication, it is so much easier to find information and support to live a healthy lifestyle. I falter only when I have failed to plan ahead by having nutritious food in my home.
Easiest, there r so many resources out there . I’ve come across so many meal ideas on social media. Most challenging, time and money. Meal planning and preparation sometimes take more time than I have . And unfortunately it seems “unhealthier” choices tend to be less expensive .
The easiest thing about living a balanced healthy lifestyle is the availability of fresh fruits and vegetables all around me…local farmers markets, supermarkets and warehouse stores. I also like that there is healthier choices at fast food and regular restaurants.
The most challenging is finding the time to meal prep. I am always on the go so having a meal prep session on the weekends or week nights is pretty difficult. I do buy “grab and go” size stuff like yogurt and hummus but I am paying a lot more for the convenience. Plus, finding time to exercise is difficult. I try to get in as much walking as I can but it’s still difficult. I do the best I can 🙂
It is easy to find healthy and tasty recipes that fit into the plan. The hardest part for me is lunch. My office provides free lunch everyday and orders from a variety of vendors. It sometimes is hard to figure out the points since it is served buffet style.
The easiest for me is that it’s summertime, wonderful produce & farmers markets abound, also my grocery store sells already shredded rotisserie chicken – no skin or bones – it is so easy! The hard part is exercising – both my Doberman and I need to get out & walk more – and not just behind the lawn mower 🙂
I find that the easiest part is being able to find great recipes and information on the internet via blogs, Facebook, P interest, and Instagram. I still find that the hardest part is making wise choices when eating out.
What is the easiest? I feel better and notice it!
The hardest thing is the planning and tracking of healthy food, preferably before I eat them.
Once you get acclimated to eating fruits and veggies it gets easier. I find the most difficult thing is going to get togethers, so many non healthy choices and people pushing them on you. That and exercise motivation, i have none!!!!!?Hate it
