I love recipes that take a familiar favorite and give it an unexpected twist. These Apple S’mores Nachos combine all the flavors of classic campfire s’mores with crisp, juicy apple slices for a simple dessert that’s ready in minutes.
Made with just five everyday ingredients, they’re an easy way to satisfy a sweet craving without the fuss of building a campfire or making a big batch of dessert. The warm, melty marshmallows, chocolate drizzle, and crunchy graham cracker crumbs turn ordinary apple slices into something that feels a little special.
This recipe comes from an old issue of Hungry Girl Magazine (affiliate link), and it’s one I’ve happily adapted over the years. It’s especially fun in the fall when apples are at their best, but honestly, it’s just as welcome any time you’re craving the flavors of s’mores.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Just 5 simple ingredients
- Ready in about 10 minutes
- A fun twist on classic s’mores
- Perfect for one or two people
- No campfire required!
Ingredients & Notes
- Apple – I especially like Honeycrisp, Fuji, Pink Lady, or Gala because they’re crisp and naturally sweet (affiliate link).
- Mini chocolate chips – Melt quickly for an easy chocolate drizzle.
- Unsweetened almond milk – Helps create a smooth chocolate sauce. Any milk will work.
- Mini marshmallows – Toast beautifully under the broiler.
- Graham crackers – Crushed over the top for that unmistakable s’mores flavor.
How to Make S’Mores Apple Nachos
Step 1: Gather and prepare all ingredients. Preheat broiler (oven or toaster oven broiler, if available).

Step 2: Wash, dry and core the apple, then slice into 1/2-inch thick wedges. Place apple wedges on a large, oven-proof dish, or pie plate (affiliate link).
Step 3: Add the mini chocolate chips and almond milk to a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave (affiliate link) at 50% power for 20-25 seconds. Remove and stir until completely melted and smooth.

Step 4: Drizzle chocolate over the apple wedges and then sprinkle the mini marshmallows over the top.

Step 5: Place dish under broiler for 20-30 seconds, or until marshmallows are heated, slightly melty and turn golden.
Step 6: Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over the top and enjoy!

Recipe Tips
- Watch the marshmallows closely under the broiler—they can go from golden to burned in seconds.
- No broiler? Microwave (affiliate link) the assembled nachos for 15 to 20 seconds until the marshmallows soften. You’ll miss the toasted tops, but they’ll still be delicious.
- Serve immediately while the marshmallows are warm and gooey.
