Two ingredients (marshmallows and chocolate Pocky sticks) come together to make these easy S’mores Sticks/Pops with less than 50 calories each. These yummy anytime treats are ready in minutes—the simple assembly of a couple of ingredients and light toasting of the marshmallow are the only work needed.
These dessert pops are a lot neater too than traditional s’mores (or graham cracker sandwiches which they were first named), that require you to first toast the marshmallow over a campfire on a stick, or skewer, and then stuff it between two graham cracker squares with a piece of chocolate.

What are Pocky?
Pocky Sticks (affiliate link) were created in Japan by Glico Co., Ltd., and have been a part of Japanese life since 1966. Each thin and crispy biscuit is dipped in chocolate (or other flavored creamy confectionery), leaving the handle of the stick plain. Which make them the perfect edible marshmallow holder for these super simple Skinny S’mores Pops (aka S’mores Sticks)!
Pocky is all about sharing happiness and you’ll even find the “share happiness” phrase on the packaging.

Pocky Sticks (affiliate link) come in variety of flavors, with new and seasonal flavors being introduced regularly:
- Chocolate
- Strawberry
- Cookies ‘n Cream
- Matcha
- Banana
- Almond Crunch
- Crunchy Strawberry

And some CostCo’s even carry a Pocky variety pack as an exclusive item found only at CostCo.
You can usually find at least the chocolate and strawberry flavors in most well-stocked grocers in the Asian food aisle. And they also be found at many Target and Walmart locations.

How to Make 2-Ingredient Chocolate Pocky S’Mores Pops
Step 1: Gather and prepare all ingredients.

Step 2: Carefully insert Pocky stick into marshmallow. Please note: Pocky sticks are very delicate and can easily break if not handled carefully. If necessary, first poke a small hole in the marshmallow with the end of a chopstick, toothpick or small olive cocktail pick.

Step 3: Holding the Pocky stick, carefully heat marshmallow over an open flame or with a butane kitchen torch lighter (affiliate link) until marshmallow turns golden and slightly charred. Be careful not to put too much of the chocolate stick over the flame because it will melt too!
Step 4: Enjoy!

Recipe Notes
These delicious S’mores Pops literally take about 2 minutes to make. The hardest part is poking the stick into the marshmallow. And once you’ve done this a couple times and broken a few (which makes a good little snack itself), you’ll quickly learn how much gentle force is required. Alternatively, you can use a chopstick, toothpick or cocktail olive skewer to first make the hole in the marshmallow.

This recipe serves 4, but can easily be modified if you are serving a crowd. Just add 1 more Pocky Stick and marshmallow for each additional serving.
Serving Suggestions
While these aren’t traditional S’mores because there is no graham cracker included, the crispy buttery cracker of the Pocky is a nice substitute and adds a subtle crunch. And Pocky Sticks come in a variety of flavors, so you can come up with an assortment of S’mores Pops alternatives:
- Chocolate
- Strawberry
- Cookies ‘n Cream
- Matcha
- Banana
- Almond Crunch
- Crunchy Strawberry
