Slimming Bites: Inspiration & Recipes for Weight Watchers

Encouragement and inspiration are critical whenever you’re trying to change your habits. This is especially true when the habits involve eating better, losing weight and creating a healthy balanced lifestyle.

Sticking with the slow and steady sensible balanced approach to lasting change can seem dull and out of step when compared with our society’s obsession with the opposing messages of overindulgent excess on one hand, and extreme fad diets on the other.

My mission is to provide you with a constant supply of motivating articles and enticing Weight Watchers friendly recipes to encourage your pursuit of a happy, healthy, balanced life.  Here are this week’s hand-picked selections. I hope you find the time and space to sit down, perhaps with a cup of coffee or tea, or glass of wine or bubbly water, and savor them!

Always try to do my best but it is challenging when fatty meats and lots of carbs are served at every meal.”

  1. The easiest part is that I love fruits and vegetables as well as fish. The hardest part is I also love sweets but they are very high in WW points. I feel better without the added sugar!

  2. 1. The easiest part I think is all the information that available. I’m not balanced yet, but I want to get there!

2 The most challenging for me is getting started and staying the course. Once I get started I am good…but lose focus and off I go.

  3. For me, the easiest was learning to eat healthy and not eating processed foods. The most challenging for me is getting on a fitness plan and staying with it without having someone to be there to depend on me. To inspire myself to go exercise is really hard for me.

  4. 1) What do you find easiest about living a healthy balanced lifestyle? I get energized when I began to plan menus and set time aside for the gym or a yoga class, or even something different like Belly Dancing. I’ve also found that as I get older, my goals have changed. I’ve always struggled with my weight and weight loss was always the goal. Now the goal is simple to feel better and be healthier, losing weight has been a pleasant side effect!

    2) What do you find most challenging? That’s easy, not getting so busy, I forget to take the time to do what is best for me and all the things I know that keep me healthy and happy! It helps to have a support group like Weight Watchers to remind you of these things. I also find that when I have too much time on my hands that I will get lazy.

    Life is all about balance!!!

  5. The easiest part for me was making the decision to go back to Weight Watchers and this time to keep going no matter what and of course making my meals mostly fresh vegetables and fresh fruit. the hardest part so far is to keep up with the daily walking when I am tired or just plan don’t want to do it. But the whole things has so far paid off since I have lost 50 lbs and have 35 to go. It is now a lifestyle with hiccups.

  6. The easiest thing is planning and preparing. The most challenging is getting the picky kids on board with a healthy eating lifestyle!

  7. The easiest is feeling better and not sluggish from eating ‘junk’. The hardest part is trying to get enough exercise because, unfortunately, I have a desk job and sit most of the day.

  8. Easiest- having more healthy options and a wide variaty of new foods and healthy foods to try.
Challanging- prepping and cooking for two some items you by in bundles or fresh can’t get eaten fast enough.

  9. Easiest- having more healthy options on the outside of the home.
Challenging- cooking for two it is hard to downsize a lot of recipes and still get the flavors of a full recipe. Staying away from sweets.

  10. Easiest – I feel soooo much better than I ever have.
Most challenging – keeping away from sweets.
