Slimming Bites: Inspiration & Recipes for Weight Watchers

Encouragement and inspiration are critical whenever you’re trying to change your habits. This is especially true when the habits involve eating better, losing weight and creating a healthy balanced lifestyle.

Sticking with the slow and steady sensible balanced approach to lasting change can seem dull and out of step when compared with our society’s obsession with the opposing messages of overindulgent excess on one hand, and extreme fad diets on the other.

My mission is to provide you with a constant supply of motivating articles and enticing Weight Watchers friendly recipes to encourage your pursuit of a happy, healthy, balanced life.  Here are this week’s hand-picked selections. I hope you find the time and space to sit down, perhaps with a cup of coffee or tea, or glass of wine or bubbly water, and savor them!

  1. The abundance of information now available about healthful choices in food and life make it easy to find and follow the choices needed to stay on program. The hardest part is keeping the mental and emotional dedication needed to maintain the healthy choices on a day to day basis

  2. 1) Easiest: Once there was some weight loss, how much better I feel…more energy, less inflammation, sense of well-being. 2) Most Challenging: Withstanding food cravings and food pushers.

  3. I find the easiest thing about healthy living is all the support and information available on the internet, at WW meetings, etc. The hardest thing is recapturing your great habits and routine after it has been interrupted.

  4. 1) The easiest is to find healthy recipes in catalogs and on the internet which I make quite often for my husband and son (the are my largest support group) – it makes it easier to do vegan/clean eating which I am leaning towards

    2) My hardest is sticking to it. . .I want to do this to better my health not just physically but emotionally

  5. The easiest part is the availability of a variety of fruits and vegetables and the great recipes provided through Martha’s simple nourished. The most difficult past is going out to eat when my husband likes Chinese buffet

  6. Easiest is using fresh veg’s. and fruit if at all possible, and freezing up excess for later.

Harsest is living with in your budget and sill eat healthy.

  7. The easiest thing for me is all of the websites and blogs available for me to use to keep me on track and to give me inspiration for recipes and meal planning. The hardest part for me is when we are on vacation and friends don’t eat as healthy as we do. Always try to do my best but it is challenging when fatty meats and lots of carbs are served at every meal.

    1. The easiest*knowing healthy choices and being mindful.
      Most challenging is cooking/preparing meals.

  8. The easiest is being able to fix the healthy meals I want to eat without complaints because I live alone.

The hardest also has to do with living alone. I’m limited on the recipes that I can make because they serve so many. I have very limited freezer space so I can’t freeze the leftovers and my other choices are eating the same thing for days in a row or throwing it out. Neither of which appeal to me.
