Ingredients

  • Frozen blackberries Naturally sweet (affiliate link) and bursting with juicy flavor, frozen blackberries are a convenient and nutritious fruit option. They soften beautifully in the microwave (affiliate link), creating a warm, jammy base for your quick crisp.
  • Non-calorie sweetener – A little boost of sweetness without the added sugar or calories. Choose your favorite no-calorie option—like stevia, monk fruit, or a sugar substitute you trust—to keep this treat WW-friendly and guilt-free.
  • Cornstarch – Just a pinch thickens the berry juices into a luscious sauce, giving your crisp that cozy, cobbler-like texture you crave.
  • Crunchy Oats & Honey Granola Bar – The secret to a speedy crisp topping! Crushed and sprinkled on top, this grab-and-go granola bar adds just the right amount of crunch and flavor with minimal effort.

Recipe Notes, Variations & Substitutions

I usually prefer fresh blackberries, but for this easy crisp recipe you’ll definitely want to use unsweetened frozen blackberries. The frozen berries will release more juice than fresh berries while cooking in the microwave, creating a lightly sweetened sauce for this dessert crisp.

No frozen blackberries? Try using any unsweetened frozen blueberries  or raspberries in place of the blackberries, or a combination of your favorites.

Gluten free? If you have a gluten sensitivity, you can easily make this gluten-free by substituting your favorite gluten-free granola bar.

No granola bar? Substitute your favorite low-fat crunchy granola for the crushed granola bar.
