The winner of the InstantPot is Doris B. who said…

  1. I do not own an instant pot, but have so many recipes that I would like to try. It would be nice to own one.
  2. I would love to get something on the table fast because I rarely make anything that takes too long. With an instant pot I would be able to try some things that I would not do the traditional way.
  3. Tonight, I am making chicken fried steak according to Marlene Koch. It is WW friendly, but time consuming, but it is one of my husband’s favorites.

Congratulations Doris. Please send an email to support@simple-nourished-living.com to claim your Instant Pot!

Confession: I still haven’t learned to use my instant pot (affiliate link) with regularity. So I’ve decided to devote what remains of 2020 to overcoming my resistance with a Challenge!

It’s been nearly two years since I assembled this list of 50 WW Friendly Instant Pot Recipes in response to requests from readers. At the time I admitted that while I have an Instant Pot, I used it mostly for it’s saute and slow cook functions. I promised myself I would learn to use all its other functions, especially pressure cooking.

I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve made virtually no progress.  I know it would make life easier, especially with meal prep. But what they say is: A goal without a plan is just a wish.

So, I’ve decided to take the Tiny Habits: The Small Changes That Change Everything (affiliate link) approach: I’m setting teeny tiny goal(s) for myself.

Tiny Habits Instant Pot Challenge

  1. Learn something new about the Instant Pot every day (right after I read my morning devotional)  and record it here on My Getting Started with the Instant Pot Success Guide
  2. Use my Instant Pot once a week (Sunday afternoons) and share the recipe on Simple Nourished Living.
  3. Celebrate these accomplishments.

To kick things off I’m giving away the  Instant Pot (affiliate link) Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker I purchased several years ago:

  1. I would’ve love an InstaPot to try new recipes that I can make quickly during the week. One thing I’ve wanted to accomplish with little progress is adding more exercise to my routine – hope to make a positive change starting this week. Last night, I made delicious Chicken Marsala from WW recipes for 2 so in blue!

  2. I use the one I have all the time. I could use another one to cook side dish’s and desserts .
Menu planning is something I am still struggling with on a consistent basis.
We had Panda Express last night. But I cooked bread in my instant pot last night for the first time. Then I cooked pinto beans after the bread.

  3. I have just re-joined WW and need all the help I can get. I’m also helping to look after my mother with my siblings after the recent passing of my father and this would help us all out so much.
I always start out motivated but then get depressed trying to figure out new things to cook. With an instant pot I think I would have better luck in making more nutritious meals. Unfortunately I skipped dinner last night 🙁

  5. I would love an instant pot to help me make healthier meals quicker. Sometimes I don’t know what to fix so end up having canned soup and sandwiches, which are definitely not WW friendly.
I’ve been procrastinating sorting through and cleaning out “stuff”. When my mom passed and it took a year to go through everything she accumulated in the 50 years she lived in one house, I swore I would start getting rid of stuff so my son didn’t have to do the same one day. Hasn’t happened yet!
Last night’s dinner was chili my son made in his slow cooker. It was amazing!

  6. 1. I see so many good recipes that require an instant pot but do not own one and just can’t seem to scrape up the cash to but one on my disability income.
    2. I have been struggling to really lose a significant amount of weight for years! This time I am really committed.
    3. Fir dinner last night I had leftover homemade chicken and vegetable stir fry.

  7. I would like to learn about and use an air fryer to continue to learn new ways to cook healthy foods and plan my menus so that my husband and I can maintain our weight loss. Making quick meals would be so helpful to stay on track.
My hardest to accomplish goal is to get organized with menus and food prep and not wait until the last minute. I also need to part with my collection of old cook books now that I do more online recipes.
For dinner last night we had leftover slow cooker chicken lasagna casserole – one of our favorites.

  8. 1. I have so many instant pot recipes that I’d love to try, but I don’t own one. I’m always making your recipes along with some other WW recipes, and I’m always looking for other ways to change it up.
    2. I’m motivated to eat healthy, because I plan my meals in advance. However, I keep saying I am going to get back on track with counting my WW points but have been such a procrastinator with this..
3 Crockpot cauliflower and potato soup.

  9. I’m my 98 yr old mother’s caregiver and an instant pot would be lifesaver. To make healthy, delicious meals in no time would be great.
The attic & basement in this house holds 60 yrs of memories & junk that needs to be cleared out.
Last night’s dinner was WW chicken & noodles with asparagus.
Thank you for all the wonderful tips & recipes.

    1. Why do you want an instant pot? To be able to make fast healthy meals not only for myself but my family as well.
What’s something you’ve been wanting to accomplish with little progress? Meal prepping that doesn’t take all day to do
What did you have for dinner last night? Grilled seasoned chicken over a bed of brown rice that I seasoned with chili lime, salsa, black beans & corn for a southwest flair & roasted asparagus….all for zero on purple plan

  10. The reason I’d like an Instapot is I have a very small kitchen and would like to purge some appliances that are in the Instapot. I would like to learn recipes using the pressure cooker feature. My Mom had a pressure cooker while I was growing up and she used it quite a bit. Last night we had Chicken Vegetable soup that I tried to replicate from a soup I had at a friends house.
