The winner of the InstantPot is Doris B. who said…

  1. I do not own an instant pot, but have so many recipes that I would like to try. It would be nice to own one.
  2. I would love to get something on the table fast because I rarely make anything that takes too long. With an instant pot I would be able to try some things that I would not do the traditional way.
  3. Tonight, I am making chicken fried steak according to Marlene Koch. It is WW friendly, but time consuming, but it is one of my husband’s favorites.

Congratulations Doris. Please send an email to support@simple-nourished-living.com to claim your Instant Pot!

Confession: I still haven’t learned to use my instant pot (affiliate link) with regularity. So I’ve decided to devote what remains of 2020 to overcoming my resistance with a Challenge!

It’s been nearly two years since I assembled this list of 50 WW Friendly Instant Pot Recipes in response to requests from readers. At the time I admitted that while I have an Instant Pot, I used it mostly for it’s saute and slow cook functions. I promised myself I would learn to use all its other functions, especially pressure cooking.

I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve made virtually no progress.  I know it would make life easier, especially with meal prep. But what they say is: A goal without a plan is just a wish.

So, I’ve decided to take the Tiny Habits: The Small Changes That Change Everything (affiliate link) approach: I’m setting teeny tiny goal(s) for myself.

Tiny Habits Instant Pot Challenge

  1. Learn something new about the Instant Pot every day (right after I read my morning devotional)  and record it here on My Getting Started with the Instant Pot Success Guide
  2. Use my Instant Pot once a week (Sunday afternoons) and share the recipe on Simple Nourished Living.
  3. Celebrate these accomplishments.

To kick things off I’m giving away the  Instant Pot (affiliate link) Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker I purchased several years ago:

  1. Like you, I have been looking at Insta pot recipes for a couple of years. But not sure of it. If I win, I could try some recipes. I really enjoy your blog and have used many of your ideas and recipes.

  2. 1. I have one instant pot and another one would make my meal prep even faster. Part of that prep is making making multiple meals that I can freeze for my elderly parents to heat up.
    2. Adding new healthy recipes every week and purging my clothes!
    3. Shrimp salad and gumbo!

  3. Hallo!

I want an instant pot because my son melted mine by leaving it on the stove while boiling water for tea. I really want to solidify my meal prepping and my instant pot was a huge part of that. We had pulled pork tacos with slaw.

  4. I would like to have an instant pot for its multiple functions and healthy cooking features. Right now I am not able to afford one but would love to have it. I am a type 1 diabetic and am working very hard to improve my eating habits.

  5. I have the mini instant pot and have had much success with making yogurt. I also make boneless chicken breasts in it and am amazed how quickly it cooks enough frozen chicken. Been a WW member since 2016 and have lost 55 pounds; enjoying my maintenance phase at the present. Learning new healthy ways to cook for my family has always been my goal. Last nite, I had a WW. recipe for chili using ground turkey- YUM!

  6. I would love to have an instant pot as I work full time and being able to cook a meal in 30 minutes or less would give me more time in the evening to learn new things
I have been wanting to lose fat and weight to become healthier but have not managed to lose the amount of weight I need to feel healthier.
Last night we ate at our neighbour’s and had chicken cacciatore made with chicken breasts, a green salad and three berry sorbet.

  7. I would LOVE to win an because I have seen so many amazing recipes! I work days and my husband nights, so I think this would help us out.
I am trying to get myself out of debt. Big goal this year, but things happened to interfere. Still trying!
Last night I had cauliflower rice with broccoli and a chopped up quorn chik’n patty with garlic, Bragg liquid aminos, and sriracha sauce. Yummy!

  8. My husband had a heart attack this year and had to have a stint put in so I believe this instant pot would help me get meals healthier. I had homemade soup with corn bread.

  9. I want an instant pot because I just downsized to a small 55+ community and there is not enough room to keep multiple devices. I am trying to get back to cooking healthy meals for myself, rather than drive thru, and keeping my weight under control. It has been difficult in my little kitchen, but was delighted to recently enter the “overweight” rather than “obese” range after starting cooking at home, using your guides and emails. Can you imagine how successful I would be with an Instant pot? Last night I made chicken and vegetable soup in my crock pot using one of your recipes. Yummmmmm.
