The winner of the InstantPot is Doris B. who said…
- I do not own an instant pot, but have so many recipes that I would like to try. It would be nice to own one.
- I would love to get something on the table fast because I rarely make anything that takes too long. With an instant pot I would be able to try some things that I would not do the traditional way.
- Tonight, I am making chicken fried steak according to Marlene Koch. It is WW friendly, but time consuming, but it is one of my husband’s favorites.
Congratulations Doris. Please send an email to support@simple-nourished-living.com to claim your Instant Pot!
Confession: I still haven’t learned to use my instant pot (affiliate link) with regularity. So I’ve decided to devote what remains of 2020 to overcoming my resistance with a Challenge!
It’s been nearly two years since I assembled this list of 50 WW Friendly Instant Pot Recipes in response to requests from readers. At the time I admitted that while I have an Instant Pot, I used it mostly for it’s saute and slow cook functions. I promised myself I would learn to use all its other functions, especially pressure cooking.
I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve made virtually no progress. I know it would make life easier, especially with meal prep. But what they say is: A goal without a plan is just a wish.
So, I’ve decided to take the Tiny Habits: The Small Changes That Change Everything (affiliate link) approach: I’m setting teeny tiny goal(s) for myself.
Tiny Habits Instant Pot Challenge
- Learn something new about the Instant Pot every day (right after I read my morning devotional) and record it here on My Getting Started with the Instant Pot Success Guide.
- Use my Instant Pot once a week (Sunday afternoons) and share the recipe on Simple Nourished Living.
- Celebrate these accomplishments.
To kick things off I’m giving away the Instant Pot (affiliate link) Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker I purchased several years ago:

The versatility of this 7-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker (affiliate link), Steamer, Sauté, Yogurt Maker and Warmer really seems amazing…

I would love to try an instantpot, I’ve heard so many great things about this “little magic pot”. My husband won’t let me buy one so perhaps I will get lucky and win one!
I’ would love to accomplish, the ability to cook dinner in the shortest amount of time possible during the weekdays, as I struggle with weeknight meals due to my 73 mile commute each way to work! Leaves me no time for prepping and cooking the traditional way!
For dinner last night I had baked Salmon with lemon and capers with bok choy and a spinach salad with rasperries, blueberries, avocado and a drizzle of balsamic.
I have been wanting one. ??si we them being used on the Food Network and they are amazing. We are retired and on the go, so it would to be nice to spend less time cooking. We could use it in our motor home. Thank you for. Doing this.
I would love to own an instant pot , because it can be a time saver.
Having a hard time sticking to an exercise program .
We had ham, asparagus , salad and potatoes .
I would like to have an instant pot to help to further create good habits. As with most other people, being a teacher I have a very hectic schedule and have to use my time wisely. I am learning that cooking at home is my key to success with weight watchers so I feel that this would be a very useful tool.
One of the things that I have wanted to accomplish with my weight goal challenges is learning to cook new and different things. My husband is diabetic, and I have heard that you can use the instant pot to can things. I would like to try my hand at creating sugar free jellies/jams and other things for both of us.
Yesterday was our 22 anniversary so I made grilled salmon and asparagus with a baked potato. For dessert we had the weight watchers tiramisu mug cakes with a few sugar free chocolate chips and some sugar free whip cream on top.
Why do I want an instapot? Because it seems like a wonderful tool to use in the kitchen to save time and make yummy food!
What have I been wanting to accomplish with little progress? Loose the same 30 lbs I have been trying to loose for years! I just started once again, 2 weeks ago! I have lost 3lbs. My 19 year old son said, “Great mom! 10%!”
I had thai peanut noodles last night for dinner.
I keep hearing about them and want to try it.
losing my holiday lbs
pizza and ice cream….hmmm
I want an instant pot to cook quick and healthy meals for me and my husband. We tend to wait late to decide what we want to eat. I know I should plan better!
I am cleaning out my current home in preparation of moving to a home we are renovating. It is difficult to get rid of things I have had for so many years. One is the old pressure cooker that needs a new band! However, it is now in the “get rid of box.”
I had a southwestern-style omelette with lots of veggies and salsa for dinner last night.
I would like an instant pot because I love my pressure cooker, but it doesn’t have the bells and whistles. I want to make yogurt & so many good recipes are for pressure cookers with more “buttons” like the Instant Pot.
I’m hoping to open a whole new chapter with my favorite kitchen gadget by getting one that does more.
Last evening’s supper was Chicken and Biscuits with steamed broccoli and salad.
I would love to win an instapot because I have heard such great things about them. I think it would really help make my crazy busy life a little easier. I am a mom of 2 plus a caregiver for my mother so I will take all the easy I can get!
I have been following the minimalist mom and trying to get my house down to a minimum of “stuff” to relieve some stress!
For dinner last night we had buffalo chicken (I ate mine as is. The hubs and my son shredded theirs and ate it on nachos with queso), couscous and asparagus.
I have low blood sugar and most times need a meal in a hurry. An Instant Pot would solve this major problem for me. I have wanted one for a very long time but could not justify the expense.
I have been trying to make healthy meals ahead of time and freeze them so I can have meals quicker.
Last night’s dinner was a bacon sandwich on sourdough bread with a glass of milk.
