The winner of the InstantPot is Doris B. who said…
- I do not own an instant pot, but have so many recipes that I would like to try. It would be nice to own one.
- I would love to get something on the table fast because I rarely make anything that takes too long. With an instant pot I would be able to try some things that I would not do the traditional way.
- Tonight, I am making chicken fried steak according to Marlene Koch. It is WW friendly, but time consuming, but it is one of my husband’s favorites.
Congratulations Doris. Please send an email to support@simple-nourished-living.com to claim your Instant Pot!
Confession: I still haven’t learned to use my instant pot (affiliate link) with regularity. So I’ve decided to devote what remains of 2020 to overcoming my resistance with a Challenge!
It’s been nearly two years since I assembled this list of 50 WW Friendly Instant Pot Recipes in response to requests from readers. At the time I admitted that while I have an Instant Pot, I used it mostly for it’s saute and slow cook functions. I promised myself I would learn to use all its other functions, especially pressure cooking.
I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve made virtually no progress. I know it would make life easier, especially with meal prep. But what they say is: A goal without a plan is just a wish.
So, I’ve decided to take the Tiny Habits: The Small Changes That Change Everything (affiliate link) approach: I’m setting teeny tiny goal(s) for myself.
Tiny Habits Instant Pot Challenge
- Learn something new about the Instant Pot every day (right after I read my morning devotional) and record it here on My Getting Started with the Instant Pot Success Guide.
- Use my Instant Pot once a week (Sunday afternoons) and share the recipe on Simple Nourished Living.
- Celebrate these accomplishments.
To kick things off I’m giving away the Instant Pot (affiliate link) Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker I purchased several years ago:

The versatility of this 7-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker (affiliate link), Steamer, Sauté, Yogurt Maker and Warmer really seems amazing…

Hi Martha,
1) I’d love and instapot so I could make fast meals, and also try so of the amazing instapot ww recipes
2) I keep saying I will try a new recipe at LEAST once a week, and I haven’t been very successful with that goal
3) I’m vegetarian, my husband isn’t….so last night I made brown rice, sautéed veg Which we both had, I cooked a chicken breast for him and a cauliflower steak for me, and topped them with a bottled Thai sauce.
Quicker, easier meal prep and easy clean up.
Need to spring clean my house and hopefully an instant pot would take the place of other appliances/utensils that I wouldn’t need any more.
4 Nugget Kid’s Meal from McDonald’s after church last night — lesser of the evils of what I could have chosen.
I would love an instant pot to make meals faster.
I am having a hard time keeping off my 65 pounds that I have lost on WW.
We ate out with friends at Applebee’s last night and I had the bourbon street chicken and shrimp with garlic mashed potatoes.
I want to win the Instant pot because working full time it will cut down my time while cooking dinner.
I have been trying to get a handle on my organization – cleaning out things I no longer use – it has been an extremely long process with little positive movement.
I had chicken vegetable soup last night for dinner.
I am single and I have heard so many good things about the Instant Pot. I’d love to try it but I cannot afford to buy one.
Last night I had Air fried chicken wings.
I would love to save time preparing workweek dinners.
I want to sort unnecessary paperwork and other belongings so my daughter won’t have to do it one day in the future.
I made ground round Hobo Stew full of veggies and good comfort food 🙂
Why do you want an instant pot?
I would like an instant pot to see if I can streamline some of my favorite recipes, make dinner prep easier and get it on the table sooner. Less planning?
What’s something you’ve been wanting to accomplish with little progress?
Regular exercise. Can’t seem to commit long enough to get a rhythm going.
What did you have for dinner last night?
Egg sandwich.
I also have heard great things about the instant pot from several of my friends and it sounds like I could benefit from many of the uses.
Every weekend I plan to start purging my home of “junk” by starting with one closet or room but it rarely happens. I also want to start using up many of the items which have been in my pantry forever.
Yesterday afternoon I made shiitake mushroom beef stew for diner. It was delicious!
First of all my sis has one and raves about it. I am so jealous!
Secondly, I am the queen of not remembering to take our evenings entree out of the freezer to thaw. Urgh! So being able to slip my frozen entree’ into the pot and still have dinner ready … on time … wow … that’s an accomplishment!
Sunday is always a special evening meal at our home. We do make every attempt to make it balanced and healthy. Last evening was beef tenderloin (3 oz serving) with horseradish butter, roasted yukon gold potato medallions and green beans. Yum!
Everyone I know that has an Instant Pot loves it. I think I would like using it.
My accomplishment goal with little success is being more active.
Dinner last night was a meatball sandwich.
