The winner of the InstantPot is Doris B. who said…
- I do not own an instant pot, but have so many recipes that I would like to try. It would be nice to own one.
- I would love to get something on the table fast because I rarely make anything that takes too long. With an instant pot I would be able to try some things that I would not do the traditional way.
- Tonight, I am making chicken fried steak according to Marlene Koch. It is WW friendly, but time consuming, but it is one of my husband’s favorites.
Congratulations Doris. Please send an email to support@simple-nourished-living.com to claim your Instant Pot!
Confession: I still haven’t learned to use my instant pot (affiliate link) with regularity. So I’ve decided to devote what remains of 2020 to overcoming my resistance with a Challenge!
It’s been nearly two years since I assembled this list of 50 WW Friendly Instant Pot Recipes in response to requests from readers. At the time I admitted that while I have an Instant Pot, I used it mostly for it’s saute and slow cook functions. I promised myself I would learn to use all its other functions, especially pressure cooking.
I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve made virtually no progress. I know it would make life easier, especially with meal prep. But what they say is: A goal without a plan is just a wish.
So, I’ve decided to take the Tiny Habits: The Small Changes That Change Everything (affiliate link) approach: I’m setting teeny tiny goal(s) for myself.
Tiny Habits Instant Pot Challenge
- Learn something new about the Instant Pot every day (right after I read my morning devotional) and record it here on My Getting Started with the Instant Pot Success Guide.
- Use my Instant Pot once a week (Sunday afternoons) and share the recipe on Simple Nourished Living.
- Celebrate these accomplishments.
To kick things off I’m giving away the Instant Pot (affiliate link) Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker I purchased several years ago:

The versatility of this 7-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker (affiliate link), Steamer, Sauté, Yogurt Maker and Warmer really seems amazing…

1. Why do I want an instant pot?
I’d like to cook more and stop eating out so much.
2. One thing I’ve wanted to accomplish with little progress?
Knitting
3. What did I have for dinner last night?
Grilled trout at Cracker Barrel. That’s good right? No because I also ate fried okra and corn bread. Hence my comment for question #1 ?????????????????????
I hear so many favorable comments how Instant Ppt makes meal cooking easier. I love the thrill of using a new kitchen small appliance and this is one I dont have. Would love to try it?
Why do you want an instant pot?
It’s like a pressure cooker but is less dangerous as it will not open if not all pressure has vented. I am afraid of the stove top old school pressure cookers.
What’s something you’ve been wanting to accomplish with little progress? Making soups in a electric pressure cooker
What did you have for dinner last night?
Pasta with my canned tomato sauce with 93% lean ground beef. Ghoulosh some might call it. I call it Cheeseburger Macaroni
They Have always scared me because of the pressure cooker part, but have heard so much about them , would be nice when you get home late to be able to cook up something healthy quick instead of ordering in or doing something that is quick and easy and usually very unhealthy
I would love to win an instapot figure that one for quite some time but I can’t afford one but I would like one poor nutrition and for weight loss can for health reasons to cook fried foods better and more affordable and more tastier
I want to win because I have heard a lot about this instant pot and would like to try it for myself to make faster and better meals.
I have been trying to go through a lot of boxes in my basement from parent’s homes, grown children, and my husband and myself that have accumulated.
I had minestrone soup and a salad for supper last night. I’m trying to eat healthier to lose weight.
I would like to create healthier meals for my husband and son.
I have been wanting to clean a spot for my husband to sit in family room but make one step d\forward and 10 steps back. Also need to replace disposal unit.
I made spaghetti and meat sauce for dinner last night
My sister, who hasn’t cooked in YEARS got an Instant Pot and has cooked actual food ! She invited us over for Korean Tacos and I fell in love – they were so good. She told us about all the other things she tried since she got it …I am IMPRESSED! For the first time in at least 10 years she’s eager to experiment. I want one too, because while I like to cook sometimes; I want to cook on my terms not as a necessity. An Instant Pot seems like a combination of ease , fun and flavor I cam get behind for myself.
– I want to win to get meal on the table with little notice. I’m such a last minute person that I often think about cooking when I’m hungry!
-I’ve been trying to clean out a downstairs bedroom that was being used as a pantry/storeroom. I have days when I make progress, then others where I don’t know what to do next.
Last night I had an early dinner – leftover soup, then grabbed some grape leaves at a Greek restaurant.
I would love an instant pot, I have always been afraid of pressure cookers from long ago when my mother had one, just didnt understand anything about it. But now they are so different and do so much, very intrigued by them! I have been on WW and see so many new recipes to try, talking with people about different brands and Instant Pot wins! Last nite I made Goulosh!
