The winner of the InstantPot is Doris B. who said…
- I do not own an instant pot, but have so many recipes that I would like to try. It would be nice to own one.
- I would love to get something on the table fast because I rarely make anything that takes too long. With an instant pot I would be able to try some things that I would not do the traditional way.
- Tonight, I am making chicken fried steak according to Marlene Koch. It is WW friendly, but time consuming, but it is one of my husband’s favorites.
Congratulations Doris. Please send an email to support@simple-nourished-living.com to claim your Instant Pot!
Confession: I still haven’t learned to use my instant pot (affiliate link) with regularity. So I’ve decided to devote what remains of 2020 to overcoming my resistance with a Challenge!
It’s been nearly two years since I assembled this list of 50 WW Friendly Instant Pot Recipes in response to requests from readers. At the time I admitted that while I have an Instant Pot, I used it mostly for it’s saute and slow cook functions. I promised myself I would learn to use all its other functions, especially pressure cooking.
I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve made virtually no progress. I know it would make life easier, especially with meal prep. But what they say is: A goal without a plan is just a wish.
So, I’ve decided to take the Tiny Habits: The Small Changes That Change Everything (affiliate link) approach: I’m setting teeny tiny goal(s) for myself.
Tiny Habits Instant Pot Challenge
- Learn something new about the Instant Pot every day (right after I read my morning devotional) and record it here on My Getting Started with the Instant Pot Success Guide.
- Use my Instant Pot once a week (Sunday afternoons) and share the recipe on Simple Nourished Living.
- Celebrate these accomplishments.
To kick things off I’m giving away the Instant Pot (affiliate link) Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker I purchased several years ago:

The versatility of this 7-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker (affiliate link), Steamer, Sauté, Yogurt Maker and Warmer really seems amazing…

TO ENTER
To enter, just leave a comment below answering the following questions,
- Why do you want an instant pot?
- What’s something you’ve been wanting to accomplish with little progress?
- What did you have for dinner last night?
One winner will be selected at random and announced right here Sunday morning.
Good Luck!

I would love an instant pot to cook healthier meals when I get home from work and working out. OR, to plan ahead and have a meal waiting for me when I get home. I pledge to make a small weekly challenge (such as using it two times, or making a stew that I can freeze) and then to assess how I did.
Last night I made a lightened up lasagna with lighter cottage cheese and 2 percent mozzarella, along with ground chicken instead of beef.
I have a pressure cooker, but have to guess at the proper settings for it–the instant pot would solve that problem. It is also a multi-use appliance so would get a lot of use,
I have had a problem getting into exercise on a regular basis–need to take tiny steps.
Last night I had chili make with ground turkey breast and all the rest of the ingredients were zero points on WW. It is something that can be made easily and can easily freeze it if I have too much
I would love to meal prep. Learning embroidery to keep my hands busy. Last thing I ate was hamburger
First, I would like to have one of these since it makes rice and so many other dishes when I am away from home. It would be great to come home to a dinner already made and not have it burn. I have an old crockpot and it is ready to be put away as a keepsake. My family during the holidays bought me a small programmable 4 quart that I used to make some of your soup recipes. It is great!
Well, whomever wins this will benefit from it. Thank you
I would love to try new recipes in an Instant Pot. I am maintaining my weight and would love new ideas for meal planning. I had a big salad with lentil soup for dinner.
Why do you want an instant pot? I started with the smallest one and have learned I want a bigger one, mostly due to our many soup makings!
What’s something you’ve been wanting to accomplish with little progress? To read more and be on Facebook less.
What did you have for dinner last night? BBQ pulled pork in the instant pot!
I would love to have an instant Pot . It would be a challenge and both myself and my husband cook and we both love a challenge. It always fun to try something new. We went through weight watchers and need all the help we can get to learn to cook healthy. We feel that this would really help us a lot. For dinner last night we had vegetable soup and broccoli salad.
Why do you want an instant pot? I want to make easy, healthier meals for my family.
What’s something you’ve been wanting to accomplish with little progress? Conquering meal planning and healthy eating.
What did you have for dinner last night? Actually Chipotle:(
I would love to learn how to cook with an instanpot ..just can’t bring myself to purchase one as I am on a fixed income ..and it seems a luxury .
Cooking and eating healthier is a goal that the instanpot would certainly help.
I had grilled chicken salad for dinner last night.
1.) I live in an apt. with a tiny kitchen with no stove/oven. I mostly use a small microwave or a smaller hot plate coil. I really need something more versatile that does not take up much space.
2.) Find a side-hustle for $ (I’m retired).
3.) Ramen noodles with a side of crudités .
