Today, to celebrate summer, the pinnacle of Smoothie Season, I’m giving away a Ninja Blender (affiliate link).

While I enjoy smoothies all year long, they definitely show up on my radar a lot more during the long warm summer days of summer. Smoothies are such an easy, delicious way to fuel and energize your day.
I know that according to Weight Watchers you are supposed to count the fruit and vegetables when used to make a beverage, I often circumvent the rule by making my smoothies thick enough to eat with a spoon!
A healthy delicious way to bump up my fruit and vegetable intake, as long as I am able to maintain my weight where I want I don’t consider it a crime!

What I love most about summer is not having to wear coats and love how it stays light longer and also I love all the summer fruits.
I love having time to spend with our 4 grandkids who are all under the age of 5! They love the homemade popsicles Grammy makes. Little do they know that I make them with no added sugar. The natural sweetness is from puréed fruits!
My daughter gets out of the house with her wheelchair and can live life without the barriers that snow and ice bring. Her joy in the summer is contagious.
I enjoy having about 8 weeks off to enjoy family & friends!!
I love the warmth of summer along with all of the fresh fruits and vegetables.
What do I love the most about summer…..the gorgeous sunsets on Lake Ontario; family get-togethers; and food, glorious food!!!! Eating in moderation, lots of summer fruits, and portion size…portion size!!!!
I love being able to get so much exercise in ways I enjoy during the summer. It’s a pleasure to go for early morning walks when the birds are singing, and it’s also fun for me to stay active tending our large garden.
