WW Recipe of the Day: InstantPot Quinoa
If you're too busy and don't have time to watch over Stovetop Quinoa, you can make perfect quinoa easily and effortlessly in the InstantPot Pressure Cooker.

How Many Calories and WW Points in InstantPot Quinoa?
According to my calculations, each ½-cup serving has 104 calories and:
3 *SmartPoints (Green plan)
3 *SmartPoints (Blue plan)
0 *SmartPoints (Purple plan)

How to Make Quinoa in the InstantPot
Step 1: Gather and prepare all ingredients.
Step 2: Add the quinoa, salt, water and lime zest/juice (if using) to the InstantPot.
Step 3: Close and lock the lid in sealed position.
Press Manual button and then use the +/- buttons to select 1 minute pressure cooking time.
Step 4: When the time is up, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick release the remaining pressure.
Step 5: Fluff quinoa with a fork and enjoy warm, at room temperature or chilled.
Step 6: Makes 6, ½-cup servings.
To help prevent your pressure cooker quinoa from getting mushy, be sure to measure the liquid to quinoa ratio accurately.
Enjoy your quinoa as you would rice—plain or mixed with other ingredients like grilled or roasted vegetables, chicken, pork, beef, etc. It also makes a great addition to soups and salads—providing a nice protein boost.

- 1 cup quinoa, thorougly rinsed
- 1 pinch salt
- 1-½ cups water
- 1 lime, zested and squeezed (optional, but highly recommended)
