I don’t have a favorite, but looking for a good cookbook with recipes for 1.
Fifty-six years ago, when I was a new bride, Fannie Farmer and Betty Crocker were my best friends. Over the years I added many cookbooks to my collection but have now abandoned most of them for the internet (although Fannie still holds pride-of-place in my kitchen). With 4.25 GB equaling 7,960 files in 450 folders I have any recipe and most cooking info easily at hand. As long as COLLECTING recipes doesn’t mean I have to actually PREPARE them I will continue to add to my private collection.

My favorite cook book is “ Betty Crocker’s Cookbook” received as a wedding shower gift in 1975. I use it often for reference on how to cook meats and many favorite recipes including Banana bread. It is like a well worn bible with a rubber band around it to keep it all together.
Yes-one from my small hometown church. Because I know each person who added recipes to the book. Including my granny. Many of the authors have passed away so this cookbook will always be cherished.
My mothers original red and white check Better Homes and Gardens cookbook. It has so many wonderful recipes that are easy to convert to lower calorie, but the best part is the memories of learning to cook with my mother using that cookbook. Lots of wonderful times, every time I use that cookbook it’s as if my mother is right there beside me.
My go to cookbook use to be Betty Crocker until it fell apart from over use!! I search the web now when I want to find new recipes.
I would love an instant pot! I love to cook and get recipes from all over the place….
Goodhousekeeping illustratated cookbook 1980 edition. I just got married. Didn’t even know how to cook eggs. It taught me to have confidence in my cooking. I’ve used that book so much over the years it’s barely holding together. Now a days it has my most cherished recipes written on blank pages. I have 4 children. All of them want this book. I guess someday I can split the book
My favorite cookbook is an original print, single copy, hand written composition composed by ME! It has recipes that have been passed down from generations and new ones that have become family favorites. Every recipe in it is a winner and my children “fight” over who will inherit it when I’m gone.
Rachel Ray’s Express Lane. As a young mother of four, I was floundering at cooking dinner each night after coming home from work. Nothing but processed out of a box meals. I did something crazy. I started from the beginning of that book and cooked one recipe every night. Making notes on the outcomes. Good or bad. This page by page “meal planning” gave me confidence in being able to cook fresh food for my family and it greatly expanded their palates. I’ve never looked back!
