  1. Blue Moon — used to be a Montgomery,AL small cottage restaurant famous for luncheons and open for dinner by appointment only. Love their Curry Chicken, shrimp creole, French goddess dressing!
Closed 30 + years ago but put out cookbook right after they closed.

  2. My favorite cookbook is the one I made for my son who moved to Maine.
It put all his favorite recipes in it from family members and also his grandmothers turkey and stuffing recipe. Every time I visit I add to his book. I also noticed my son and his wife have added recipes from her side of the family and friends.

  3. My favorite is cookbook is a Taste of Home “Light & Tasty”. The recipes in it are healthy and delicious, and they are easy to calculate Weight Watchers points because they list the nutritional values.

  4. I turn to The Barefoot Contessa by Ina Garten most often for the “down-to-earth” approach to favorite foods and entertaining. All dishes I have tried are nutritious as well as delicious.

  5. My mom worked with special needs high school students in culinary arts class. They complied a book of their favorite family recipes. The students would make their recipe and explain what made it special to them as they shared it with the class. It’s over 20 years old but I still like to pull it out it and read their stories while picking out a recipe.
