I have a few favorite cookbooks. Healthy Homestyle cooking by Evelyn Tribole. Betty Crocker’s Cooking Basics. How to Cook without a Book, and I have quite a few church cookbooks that are sold for fundraisers that include parishioners favorite recipes.
I have a Mediterranean Cookbook that I received as a gift in the mid-1990s. I was single and just out of college and had moved into my very first apartment. My favorite dishes were a chicken and pineapple stir fry and a vegetable lasagna that used zucchini noodles (strips, not spirals) instead of lasagna noodles. Now some 25 years later, just the other night I went to reference that book for its enchilada recipe which I made for dinner for me and my husband Sunday night. Old memories now making new memories through food.
COMFORTABLE UNDER PRESSURE by Meredith Laurence. All of the recipes are down to earth and use ingredients you usually have on hand. Yummy recipes.
I used to have some but not anymore. I now look to some websites like yours, that I love it and some others; also I look on Pinterest!
I don not have an Instant Pot but would love to have one! Thanks for the opportunity!
My favorite cookbook was created by my own aunt. It’s called, “Desserts and Less Important Things”. It has tons of great recipes, and a few fool-proof ones that work for me over and over again.
I still love the old red & white Betty Crocker cookbook. Mom used it until it was threadbare, and I still do use it. It is comforting to see her handwritten notes. I can see her in the kitchen cooking every time I open that book. Great memories.
The only Cookbook that I have used in quite a while is a dogeared copy of aa Lutheran Cookbook from my Church, purchased over 30years ago. For recipes these days I decide what I want to cook and Google it> Works for me!
I’d love to try an instant pot.
Thank you!
I just plain love cookbooks! I have a cupboard full of them.
