WW Recipe of the Day: Sweet ‘n Spicy Goat Cheese Spread/Dip

This sweet and spicy goat cheese spread is a new favorite. It’s easy to make with just a few ingredients. Hits all the right flavors – subtly sweet, spicy and salty.

And makes a small amount (about 10 tablespoons or a little more than half a cup) which is important if you lack self control with certain foods the way I do.

Sweet & Spicy Goat Cheese Spread

Peter served it as an appetizer spread on toasted baguette topped with thin slices of prosciutto, when we got together for dinner Saturday night. I couldn’t stay out of it and immediately wanted the recipe, which he happily provided. (It’s from this month’s issue of Clean Eating Magazine.)

I liked this sweet and spicy dip so much I made it again yesterday. Spread on little gluten-free nut and rice crackers, it was perfect with a glass of champagne to celebrate Rod’s birthday before heading out for dinner at one of our favorite spots.

Skinny on Clean Eating Sweet & Spicy Goat Cheese Spread

This sweet and spicy goat cheese spread will work either as a dip or spread. Use it to add flavor to roasted veggie or prosciutto sandwiches. As a dip for sugar snap peas or strips of red bell pepper. Or to top bruschetta, bagel crisps or crackers.

Goat cheese is a healthy alternative to cow’s milk cheese, with 30% less fat and calories. If you are not a fan of goat cheese, substitute the same amount of low fat cream cheese.
