This month let’s bring gratitude to the forefront of our minds. In troubling times it can be all too easy to become overwhelmed by negativity, fear and worry.
Fortunately turning our thoughts to what we have to be thankful for, focusing on the positive, seeking the silver lining, keeping the faith, is an effective ways to brighten the darkest moods with proven health benefits to boot.

Cultivating gratitude doesn’t cost any money and it certainly doesn’t take much time, but the benefits are enormous.
The health benefits of expressing gratitude are many. People who regularly practice gratitude by taking time to notice and reflect upon the things they’re thankful for experience:

I am grateful for my job at home and online church services. I am grateful for my good health and my daughter who lives nearby. I am grateful my parents are still alive and healthy. There are so many things that I could list here!
I am grateful for my family and friends who are there for me throughout the roller coaster ride we call life. Even when we are not close in physical presence, we are always together in heart. I know they are only a phone call or text away. They will laugh with me, pray with me, cry with me—whatever may be needed at the moment.
