When dessert cravings strike but you want to stay on track, this delicious WW-friendly frozen Cool Whip banana split is the perfect solution! Inspired by comedian Tina Fey—who shared this favorite low-calorie treat on Oprah’s 2020 Vision tour—it delivers all the nostalgic flavor of a classic banana split but with a fraction of the calories, fat, and WW Points.

Made with just four simple ingredients—banana, strawberries, frozen Cool Whip, and a drizzle of chocolate syrup—this lightened-up banana split comes together in minutes. It’s refreshing, creamy, and surprisingly satisfying.

Best of all, this single-serve treat easily fits into your WW plan, making it a smart choice when you want something sweet without derailing your day.

Why I Love This Recipe

  • Inspired by Tina Fey! A fun celebrity (and fellow lifetime WW) twist on a dessert classic.
  • Light and refreshing without feeling like diet food.
  • Quick and Easy with just 4 ingredients and ready in minutes.
  • Low in calories and WW Points—2 Points (or just 1 with sugar-free syrup)!
  • Perfectly Portion controlled — great for satisfying cravings.
  • Customizable with your favorite fruits and toppings.
  • Kid-friendly and family-approved.

Ingredients and Substitutions

  • Banana, sliced — The classic banana split base.
  • Strawberries, sliced — Fresh is best, but thawed frozen strawberries work in a pinch.
  • Frozen Cool Whip — Any whipped topping works: Lite, Sugar-Free, or non-dairy.
  • Chocolate syrup — Traditional or sugar-free. Sugar-free saves you 1 Point.

WW Points and Calories

(You must be logged into WW on a smartphone or tablet.)
  • Old WW Points: 4 PointsPlus

You can deduct a point by opting for sugar-free chocolate syrup, turning this into a 1 Point Sweet Treat. Increase the volume of your banana split with more zero point strawberries.

An extra 2-tablespoon serving of frozen Cool Whip will only cost you a point.

This is a far cry from your standard banana split, which according to my WW App, has over 600 calories and 35 Points!

How Many Weight Watchers Points is Cool Whip?

Each 2 tablespoon serving of Cool Whip whipped topping (original, lite, sugar-free) has just 1 WW Point. The extra creamy Cool Whip with real cream has only 2 Points.

    1. Hi Linda, it’s all eBooks. What a lot of folks do is just print off recipes as they make them. Then they keep the printouts in the binder. Are you able to access the eBooks?
