  5. 1.) What I love most about Christmas is all the amazing memories that I am creating with my little family. My husband and I have two children, ages 2 and 4 years old. Watching the magic of Christmas through a child’s eyes just makes my life. I love seeing the look on their faces during the holidays, because they notice and appreciate everything. They get so excited when we drive down the street and point out every decoration. I love holiday baking and crafting with them. We also do a lot of fun activities with my Moms Club during the holidays. This year we had several events including a candy cane scavenger hunt, cookie decorating, cookie exchange, ornament making and Christmas advent wreath making. We get to spend time with family and friends that we don’t see often, which makes it so special.

    2.) My favorite Christmas movie is “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” It is such a classic. I have been watching it every year since I was a little girl. Now, I get to enjoy it with my little girls.

    3.) I really want to make the SUPERFOOD TRIPLE BERRY CHIA PUDDING found at http://www.skinnytaste.com/superfood-triple-berry-chia-pudding I’ve already pinned it. I’m always looking for ways to incorporate chia seeds into my diet, because they are filling and contain omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, antioxidants, iron, and calcium. This is a treat that I think my entire family would enjoy.

    4.) “#7 – Give Yourself A Break” is what I can relate to the most. I often beat myself up over sleeping in and not getting up to workout. I am really hard on myself when I don’t get all the items on my list accomplished in the time frame that I planned. I also have those days where I wish I could do more as a mom, but I am just so tired.

    5.) As a fitness instructor, I have several health and wellness goals for myself and for the people who take my classes. However, I really think that I need to work on my mental health for 2018. I often feel so stressed and overwhelmed with all that needs to be done for myself, my family and friends. I am a perfectionist and want to give everything I have to what matters most to me. However, often, I am left feeling a great deal of anxiety. Recently, I was in a panicked rush to get out of the door with my children to go somewhere. I never want to me late. My 4 year old daughter told me “calm down and just be happy! Just be the best mommy that you can be!” Amazing wisdom! She is so right. I just need to calm down, be present and happy. I also want to try and get back into running races. Before my children, I ran races all the time. My 4-year old daughter didn’t walk until she was 2 1/2 years old, because of some gross motor setbacks and low muscle tone. Now she tells me that she wants to be a running champion like me someday. I would love for my children to come see me run in a race!

  6. Family getting together. Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. A BLT salad with avacado makes my mouth water ! I plan on being mindful of portions, eliminating sugars and fried anything.

  7. Family has always been the most important thing to me at Christmas time it’s been almost 4 years since we lost our oldest son ,tings will never be the same for us but we hold him in our hearts forever always.

    The Holiday with Jude Law and Cameron Diaz has always been a must watch for me during holidays such a heart warming story.

    The recipe I’m going to try is one of yours BBQ Turkey Chili since is cold and snowy out it will warm me up.

    I would say control my environment would be my biggest one for me because if I don’t have it around I won’t be tempted as I see results I always get stronger with resistance, I know I can’t control what other people do but I can make healthy choices and take care of me and stop wishing and make myself a priority for the new year 2018 Happy Healthy Me,

  9. (1) I love the snowy sunrises with the Christmas lights on, drinking coffee quietly before all the craziness starts.

    (2) I love White Christmas starring Bing Crosby.

    (3) I found a recipe for Skinny Chicken Enchiladas at https://www.skinnytaste.com/chicken-enchiladas/. I will be making this for me and my husband.

    (4) #2, Control your environment. I have to get the high calorie food out of the house and keep it out.

    (5) I need to lose 20 lbs in 2018. I gotta track my food and visit the gym 3 times a week.

  10. My favorite thing about Christmas is putting up the tree. My favorite Christmas movie is A Christmas Story and I watch it every year. I want to try making Creamy Asparagus Soup | Easy Healthy Weight Watchers in January Banishing trigger foods would help me most as if I know it’s there i will eat it. My number one health and fitness goal in 2018 is to walk every day.
