5. Maintain my goal.
What I love most about Christmas is our church services and special activities to help others during the Christmas. This Christmas we are especially blessed to have our entire family together. We value this more than ever. Our grandson has severe, life-threatening issues which require lengthy hospital stays at times, and his Dad has just been diagnosed as needing a heart transplant. We are celebrating every holiday we can together.
My favorite Christmas movie is Charles Dickens The Christmas Carol. Next would be White Christmas and Holiday Inn.
With such family health issues demanding control of our schedules and time, I could not fix such healthy meals for us if I did not have all the crock pot/slow cooker recipes, especially for chicken. I do have all of last year’s downloads and I am looking forward to getting the new for the Flexprogram new points.
The best tip for me #2.#2 – Control Your Environment
Your environment has a lot more impact on what and how you eat than you realize. It is easier to change your environment than your mind or behaviors. So many times we are staying at the Ronald McDonald House. While a true blessing, much of the food that is donated by special people are high- carb and sugar -loaded foods. I have been guilty of extreme stress eating. While I cannot control what is going on with little Chris and Big Chris, I will be working more on controlling what we eat while there. I have and in the future will fix many of the slow cooker recipes. I purchased a food saver to be able to vacuum and freeze meals that we can take with us, even when it is a last minute emergency. I just grab the cooler and throw in all that I have prepared. Ronald McDonald provides freezer room for their guests. I am looking forward to the new downloads and adding more to the freezer.
My goal for 2018 is to take the time to take care of myself and quit neglecting my personal health needs. I need to be better to help those whom I love dearly. While many of the demands are 24/7, I still need to value my health so I can be there for them.
Thank you for your recipes, information, and cookbooks. Financially, I will need to drop my weight watchers online membership. I am confident with the resources and information that you have on your website, I will be able to meet and maintain my goals.
(1) I love being with my family.
(2) Polar Express
(3) Cilantro Chicken Salad, I love cilantro
(4) #5 – Add Movement To Your Days – I now walk 4 miles each morning and miss the days when I don’t get out there.
(5) I started my most recent weight loss journey two years ago, January 2016. I am close to my goal, I have lost weight the right way this time so my goal for 2018 is to reach my goal and keep it off for good.
(1) I love having all my family together. It doesn’t happen very often anymore.
(2) White Christmas!
(3) Chicken Cacciatore in my new Instapot I got for Christmas.
(4) #2 Control My Enviroment. I have very little willpower and I’ve had way to many trigger foods around during the holidays that have caused me to gain a few pounds. All of those have been purged from my house and now to refocus and get back on track.
(5) Work on maintaining my weight and adding more toning and weight bearing exercise to my workouts.
1. What I love most about Christmas is watching my grandchildren open their presents. They are so thrilled with every gift they open.
2. My favorite Christmas movie is Home for the Holidays. They make my family look so normal!
3. The new recipe I want to make in January is Skinny Chicken Parm Meatballs. It sounds yummy.
4. The Secret that resonates most with me is #1, Make it Conscious. I started keeping a consistent food journal in October. It really makes me stop and think about what I’m eating. Weeks that I don’t lose (or even gain a little like Thanksgiving) I can look back and see what I ate that week.
5. My top health/wellness goal for 2018 is to lose enough weight that I don’t have to have knee replacement surgery!
Spending time with family is what I enjoy the most about Christmas.
My favorite Christmas movie is “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
One recipe I’d like to try is Weight Watchers Beef and Broccoli.
The rule that resonates the most with me is “Add movement to your day.”
My health goal for this year is to establish healthy habits, such as moving more and being more conscious of what I eat throughout the day.
1. What I love most are the traditions, family all being together, snow, decorations, & shopping!
2. My favorite Christmas movie is Hallmark’s Christmas in Garland, but I really love all the Christmas movies.
3. I am going to make a new version of chicken chili. It will be perfect for this cold, snowy weather!
4. My favorite weight loss secret would have to be keeping a food journal. I have great success when I track everything I eat. When I notice I’m in a slump, it’s usually because I’ve not been tracking, it really helps.
5. My wellness goal is to make exercise a priority. I’ve been so busy I only exercise when I can find the time. Making plans to work out , if only for a short time a day is going to be my new priority!!!
6. Happy new year to everyone!!!
Connecting with family is what I love most about Christmas.
It’s A Wonderful Life is my favorite Christmas movie.
Baked Chicken Parmesan from Skinny Taste looks good to try in January.
#2 Controlyour environment and make healthy foods available and convenient is the secret to weight loss that resonates most with me.
My top health / wellness goal for 2018 is to eat properly for my health condition and not gain weight.
