  1. My favorite part of Christmas is celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus with our whole family – our grown kids, their spouses, and our grandkids!

We love A Christmas Story, Miracle on 34th Street, It’s a Wonderful Life, and many others.

I have a Slow Cooker Chicken Recipe from skinny taste that I want to make – it might even be Zero Points on Freestyle! But I’ll be making Martha’s Olive Garden Pasta Fagioli copycat recipe as it is a favorite and freezes GREAT!!

I need to get back to TRACKING! I want to use the WW app as it’s great and works well when we use it!! Duh!!

My top health related goal for 2018 is to GET BACK MY LIFETIME VOUCHERS so I don’t have to pay WW anymore $$!! I made Lifetime on 12/31/16 and managed to stay within those 2 pounds above/below goal from December through July, then life happened and I’m up around 15 pounds from what I need to be at!! I still weigh lots less than I have for the past 20 years, but still, my new clothes will fit better and I will feel better about myself when I get back down to my goal.

  2. 1. Having both of our children and their spouses together for a few days is the best part of Christmas.
    2. This year, my favorite movie is the Santa Clause.
    3. Everything about Slow Cooker Sausage Apple Dressing sounds delicious.
    4. Keeping a food diary is my biggest challenge. I just won’t consistently do it!
    5. My top health goal is to become physically stronger.

  3. Being with family is important to me.
My favorite movies are any of the Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel
Recipe I will make is cowboy Xavier which is a mixture of black-eyed peas, corn, and black beans which is now 0 points! It also has chopped purple onion and bell pepper and chopped tomatoes/cilantro in a olive oil, vinegar, Splenda mix. It needs to sit in the frig at least a hour before flavor marinates.
Healthy tip: dilute wine with sparkling diet cranberry soda or club soda.
Goal for 2018: Get out of the 200’s.

  4. 1. I love the music of Christmas, especially “Oh Holy Night.” And of course “White Christmas.” Both of those remind me of Christmas when my mom and dad were still alive.
    2. There are so many great Christmas movies but I love “The Bishop’s Wife.” There are so many tender moments in the movie, and your heart goes out to the bishop who is trying to get back to the essentials of his faith.
    3. I want to try the WW Meatloaf Recipe. I haven’t made meatloaf in a while and I like this one because it uses beef.
    4. The tips that have been most important for me are the food diary and support. I use the WW app for tracking and I rarely miss my weekly meeting. Both keep me focused.
    5. My top wellness goal is to move more. I will do my strength training on a regular schedule, walk when the weather is ok and use my indoor bike when I can’t get out.

  5. 1) I love the decorations, lights and especially the Christmas Tree.
    (2) A Christmas Story
    (3) Skinny Chicken Cordon Blue. My husband likes this a lot so it would be great if I could make a healthy version of it.
    (4) #2: Control your environment. I know if I don’t have the bad stuff in the house I can’t eat it. So I really need to go through my cabinets, fridge, etc. and get rid of the stuff we shouldn’t be eating.
    (5) I want to get back into a regular routine of eating well and exercising. I’ve done it in the past so I know I can do it again, I need to get out of this rut I’m in.

  6. (1) What I love most about Christmas is the spirit. Once all the shopping and planning is over, it’s just wonderful to spend time with friends and family over a nice meal.

    (2) My favorite Christmas move is It’s A Wonderful Life.

    (3) Because I LOVE soup, I searched using that term. I’d like to make CHUNKY BEEF, CABBAGE AND TOMATO SOUP (INSTANT POT OR STOVE TOP)

(4)Secret #2 – Control Your Environment resonates most with me. I’m more successful with weight loss/healthy eating if I remove from my home unhealthy foods and replace them with healthier options. Also, having recipes at-the-ready make it easier, as well.

    (5) My top health/wellness goal for 2018 is to shed some weight and get more active. I struggle with auto-immune issues and back injuries, so it’s so tempting to do nothing but sleep. My parents are elderly and I would prefer to have them in my home, instead of in a nursing home. For that to happen, I need to get healthier and become more active.

  7. 1. Love being with family. The whole Christmas season.. Preparation. Decorating. Baking.
2.Not a movie but Rudolph the red nosed reindeer
    3. Air fryer chicken parmesan
    4. Being conscious. I already track. But needing to be alert to my eating. I wolf eat. Don’t chew and enjoy.
    5. I will be 60 in June. I want to be at maintanance or lifetime. By my birthday. I have 20 more pounds left to go.

  8. 1) The excitement it brings to my children… and the Noche Buena celebration!
    (2) A Christmas Story
    (3) Loaded Baked Potato Soup
    (4) Control your Environment
    (5) Finally, KEEP the weight off.

  9. 1. What I most love about Christmas is spending time with family.
    2. Favorite Christmas movie – A Charlie Brown Christmas
    3. Recipe I want to try is any using my Instant Pot. I saw one for spagetti squash and meat sauce.
    4. Healthy Tip – Getting up and Move…I know that’s what I should do and it’s probably the easiest to start doing, but I have a hard time convincing myself to get up and move.
    5. Goal for 2018 is to drink more water. I don’t really drink any now.

  10. (1) What I love most about Christmas is the festive air that permeates everything. The lights, the music, the happiness in the air that makes us forget the cold… and, of course, the food. I make traditional dishes for my family and it is like being back in the old country in mom’s house.
    (2) My favourite Christmas movie is an old one – A Wonderful Life.
    (3) I’ll make the Slow Cooker Chicken Thighs Osso Bucco
    (4) Establish Healthy Habits. It takes time and sometimes it might feel that you are not progressing, but the habits you make will stay with you
    (5) Loose 20 lbs. Does not look like much, but at 71, even this loss is an accomplishment.
