    Christ and coming together with family. I also love the softening of hearts among people at this time of year. I wish we could keep the spirit of Christmas among our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ all year long by showering one another with kindness and love.
    (2) What is your favorite Christmas movie?
    The Grinch Who Stole Christmas is by far my favorite movie and animated classic. It epitomizes my thoughts from number one. My favorite part is when the Grinch’s heart grows three sizes!

    Remember that the key to success is progress, not perfection.
    Chances are that you will fall off the wagon at some point. Maybe you’ll fall off repeatedly – just like I did.”
    This one speaks volumes to me because in the past if I didn’t follow the program perfectly, I felt like I failed and I would just give up. This go round I’m trying to keep this in mind, “progress, not perfection.” I’m learning that this is a lifestyle NOT a diet and that it is OK to not be perfect as long as I follow my healthy plan MOST of the time. Especially after holiday feasting!
    (5) What is your top health/wellness goal for 2018?
    I had 140 pounds to lose when I rejoined Weight Watchers back in October. I’ve lost 14 before Christmas. I want lose another 50 pounds in 2018 to improve my overall health, decrease my need for medications, and improve my mobility without being in so much pain. I will do this by continuing to attend Weight Watchers meetings and following their plan.

    4. #2 Control Your Environment (If it’s in my house, I’m in trouble — especially late in the evening.)

    No one single recipe. I want to make more meatless meals, especially with beans.

    4. Don’t live in deprivation. I’ve learned this only leads me to eat around the item I want and then eventually eat it.
