Enjoy our favorite collection of smoothie recipes with yogurt!
Yogurt, and more specifically Greek yogurt, has become very popular in recent years.
Most plain, non-fat and low-fat yogurts are low in calories and high in "good" bacteria (aka probiotics) which is naturally found in our digestive systems.
Many of us prefer Greek yogurt because of its creamy texture and high protein content - but remember that full-fat types of yogurt can he high in calories and fat.
For some people who are lactose-intolerant, the live cultures in yogurt make it easier to digest.
But if you still can't eat regular dairy yogurt, you may want to give soy yogurt a try.
Be sure to read the labels carefully because some types of soy yogurt still contain some milk and make sure the packaging states that it contains "live and active cultures," because not all yogurts do.
