Here is the second half of my review for two new Welch's Smoothie Kits that I recently purchased. Click here to read more about my Strawberry Mango Smoothie Kit review.
This particular smoothie kit included a mix of frozen berries: wild blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. Along with the chunks of frozen low fat Greek yogurt.
It was mostly blueberries, with a few strawberries and I think I only counted two - or maybe three - raspberries. About 1 cup total of frozen fruit, maybe a little less.
And this kit had much less yogurt, probably half as much as the Strawberry Mango kit. I guess there's always the chance you'll get a little less - or a little more - of one ingredient or another when the pouches are filled by machines. (Which I am guessing they are, but I don't know for sure 🙂 )
As before, the directions on the back of the packet suggest you add the contents of the bag to ¼ cup of Welch's 100% juice and then blend until smooth. This is supposed to provide you with two 8 ounce servings.
Since I don't have any Welch's juice, I substituted unsweetened coconut milk beverage instead. At first I added about ½ cup, but after blending it was still a little too frozen. I ended up adding another ½ cup (so 1 cup total) to get this smoothie to the consistency I wanted.
This mixture gave me two 8 ounce servings - which makes me think that only adding ¼ cup of juice might not yield two full cups. (But of course I couldn't really test that.)
I really like the taste of this mixed berry smoothie, but it could easily be replicated with individual ingredients. I think the packets come in handy if you're in a rush and/or don't want to make too much and end up overindulging.

Mixed Berry Smoothie Nutritionals
Here is my breakdown of the estimated nutritionals for this smoothie that I made - which are different from the package. This is because I substituted the unsweetened coconut milk beverage and had to estimate the amounts of packages ingredients.

I made this smoothie with my Vitamix (affiliate link). It's a highly powerful machine and blends tougher ingredients – like frozen blueberries, strawberries and raspberries – quickly and efficiently.
