Tell Us A Little Bit About Your Weight Struggle
After my fiancé and I bought a house together and I was trying to start up my own baking business while working a full time job, our weight became our last priority. After a few years I had gained over 50 pounds from my college weight. We tried so many things to lose weight and never had success.
What Was Your Wake-Up Call Or "A-Ha Moment" That Caused You To Really Commit Yourself To Succeeding?
I saw a quote that said "if you don't make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for you sickness," and that scared the heck out of me. I was starting to really feel the pain of being so overweight and I realized I was in control of what was happening.
How Have Your Eating Habits Changed Since Beginning Your Journey? What Did You Eat Before And What Are You Eating Now?
I started WW and began tracking food which was life changing for me! Having food converted to points made things a lot easier and I actually kept a lot of the same foods, just better portions! I also found a lot of healthy alternatives I really enjoy!
What Is The Difference In Your Fitness Before You Started And Now?
I finally got the confidence to get back to the gym and start lifting heavy weights! I feel 100 times better and I'm starting to feel so much stronger!
What Has Been The Biggest Change/Payoff For You So Far?
All of the physical changes have been life changing however the improvement in my mental health and my confidence has been the biggest payoff during my journey!!
How Much Weight Have You Lost? How Long Did It Take You To Lose It?
Currently I have lost 66 pounds in about 9 months!
Some Advice and/or Words of Wisdom I'd Like To Share
It is so important to make changes that are sustainable to your lifestyle and to stay consistent!! Also, reward yourself not for hitting certain milestones (like a certain weight), but for staying consistent for a certain amount of time! That made such a difference with my weight loss this time around and has helped me continue to lose weight!
