I love how after Alexa called out to God for help, a co-worker shared with her the diet that would enable her to lose 85 pounds through clean high protein low carb eating.

Tell Us A Little Bit About Your Weight Struggle
While I had always been a chubby child, my weight was never an issue growing up. I wasn’t teased or bullied, and was quite popular throughout school.
I do recall my Pediatrician telling my mother that if I didn’t control my weight as a child, I would struggle with being overweight as an adult… boy was she right.
Until now that is!
I hit rock bottom last year weighing 307 pounds, I desperately cried out to God to help me.
In the following 2 weeks, my co worker shared with me a new diet she was trying and encouraged me to join her.
I heard and saw other success stories with IPA and became interested. I researched IPA thoroughly, joined the IPA Facebook page, and never looked back from there.
I am down 85 lbs. in 6 months… no surgery… no diet pills…no extreme exercise…just clean eating… high protein and low carb intake.
What Was Your Wake-Up Call Or “A-Ha Moment” That Caused You To Really Commit Yourself To Succeeding?
I was 307 lbs. last year, pre-diabetic with high blood pressure.
I knew I had to act quickly… I refused to become diabetic.
I lost my beloved grandmother at only 49 years old to type 2 diabetes. I never met her, she was a beautiful woman, who lost her sight and her life to diabetes.
I lost this weight and chose to eat right in memory of her and for the sake of my 5 year old daughter.
How Have Your Eating Habits Changed Since Beginning Your Journey? What Did You Eat Before And What Are You Eating Now?
I drink nearly 80 – 90 oz of water, I only eat lean meats and vegetables. No starch, very low carb, no sugar, and no processed food.
What Is The Difference In Your Fitness Before You Started And Now?
85 lbs down… 60 more to go… I am planning on a 5K run/walk soon… it will be my first.
I will join a gym soon to start toning.
What Has Been The Biggest Change/Payoff For You So Far?
Clothes, bras, and underwear literally falling off of my body.
How Much Weight Have You Lost? How Long Did It Take You To Lose It?
I have lost 85 lbs. in 6 months.
My Favorite Recipes Is…
Cauliflower Fried Rice
- Steam cauliflower bag in steamer bag
- Onions diced
- 1 egg
- Soy Sauce
- Olive Oil
- Chop steamed cauliflower and onions, add salt and pepper to taste
- Add to pre-heated skillet with olive oil
- Scramble in egg, saute for 3-4 minutes
- Enjoy w/ soy sauce!
