The mind and spirit are integral too, which is why I collect and share motivational quotes. Words have power. A steady supply of inspiring words are also essential to my success.
I love devotionals. I’ve been reading them daily for years. I’ve decided to begin sharing a weekly devotional specific to weight loss. I’ve found it helpful to read and re-read it every day of the week, until I have it committed to memory. The positive words soak into every part of my being refreshing me and giving me strength.
This week’s devotional is about the importance of self-worth, something many of us with weight issues struggle with. It’s so important to remind ourselves that as divine creations of God, we are to value ourselves as He does.
My Weekly Weight Loss Devotional: Worthy
“God assures me that I am worthy, for I am a divine creation.”
When I put myself and my worth in perspective, I understand that I am worthy of every blessing, every good, every success that could be. God deemed me worthy of being created, or I would not be here on earth. So if God regards me as someone of great value, how can I not value myself!
There are heights and depths to me that I have yet to discover and explore. Because I value myself, I want to do what is best for me concerning my health and the very quality of my life.
I can and do bring quality to me life and enhance my health by the way I think and act. Nourishing food and physical activity are probably the nearest things to the mythical fountain of youth. I am worthy of being healthy and vigorous. I am committed to healthy living, because God lovingly assures me that I am worthy of this and even more.
“Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” ~Matthew 6:26
