Losing weight is a body, mind and spirit proposition. Eating right and moving more are important which is why you will find tons of easy, healthy recipes and weight loss tips. The mind and spirit are integral too which is why I collect and share motivational quotes. Words have power. A steady supply of inspiring words are also essential to my success.
I love devotionals. I've been reading them daily for years. I've decided to begin sharing a weekly devotional specific to weight loss. I've found it helpful to read and re-read it every day of the week, until I have it committed to memory. The positive words soak into every part of my being refreshing me and giving me strength.

My Weekly Weight Loss Devotional: Perspective
"When I change the way I look at things, the things I look at change." ~Wayne Dyer
Henry David Thoreau wrote in his journal, “The question is not what you look at, but what you see.” I realize the deep and abiding Truth in this statement as I look around me today. I know I can choose to be dismayed by what I lack or be amazed at my abundance. I can be discouraged by how far I have to go or be proud of my accomplishments. I can choose to focus on differences between people or embrace all that we have in common on the human journey.
My life changes drastically with the choices I make. So I choose to focus on the the positive healthy changes I am making in my life, my deep burning desire to nourish myself body, mind and soul. With each new day I am nourished, strengthened and empowered to do my best and be my best.
Centered in divine life, I flourish in every way.
