The winner of the InstantPot is Doris B. who said…

  1. I do not own an instant pot, but have so many recipes that I would like to try. It would be nice to own one.
  2. I would love to get something on the table fast because I rarely make anything that takes too long. With an instant pot I would be able to try some things that I would not do the traditional way.
  3. Tonight, I am making chicken fried steak according to Marlene Koch. It is WW friendly, but time consuming, but it is one of my husband’s favorites.

Congratulations Doris. Please send an email to support@simple-nourished-living.com to claim your Instant Pot!

Confession: I still haven’t learned to use my instant pot (affiliate link) with regularity. So I’ve decided to devote what remains of 2020 to overcoming my resistance with a Challenge!

It’s been nearly two years since I assembled this list of 50 WW Friendly Instant Pot Recipes in response to requests from readers. At the time I admitted that while I have an Instant Pot, I used it mostly for it’s saute and slow cook functions. I promised myself I would learn to use all its other functions, especially pressure cooking.

I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve made virtually no progress.  I know it would make life easier, especially with meal prep. But what they say is: A goal without a plan is just a wish.

So, I’ve decided to take the Tiny Habits: The Small Changes That Change Everything (affiliate link) approach: I’m setting teeny tiny goal(s) for myself.

Tiny Habits Instant Pot Challenge

  1. Learn something new about the Instant Pot every day (right after I read my morning devotional)  and record it here on My Getting Started with the Instant Pot Success Guide
  2. Use my Instant Pot once a week (Sunday afternoons) and share the recipe on Simple Nourished Living.
  3. Celebrate these accomplishments.

To kick things off I’m giving away the  Instant Pot (affiliate link) Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker I purchased several years ago:

  1. Beef stew recipe – 5 hours in oven, 35 minutes in instapot and it will keep in warm. I really like the insta pot.

  2. 1. I would love an instapot to help me be able to make dinner quicker when I get home from work…..this would really help me stay on program.

    2. I know I need to be more active and to find time to exercise but I have not been very good about finding the time to do it.
    3. Lightened Chicken and dumpling soup and salad

  3. 1. I absolutely LOVE to cook healthy meals but find by the time I get home from work and look after my furry friend, Biggsie, taking him for his long awaited walk that I am often so exhausted that I have nothing left in me to make dinner. I suffer from FM and believe not having to stand over the stove for extended periods cooking on the stovetop that I would feel better and not be in as much pain. Having an InstaPot could free up time for me to take an evening walk. ????
    2. I have hit a plateau for three weeks after losing 15 pounds and would like to break through that.
    3. Dinner last night was curried leftover ham and veggies over brown basmati rice.

  4. 1. I currently have an off brand pressure cooker which is used at least 3 times a week. The ability to make yogurt and other perks would be exciting. No doubt it would be used frequently..
2, Food prep with any consistency continues to challenge me. Failure to plan leads to making poor choices in a hurry.
    3. Home made no noodle chicken soup.

  5. An Instant pot would help me make healthier meals with ease.
My goal is to get my family to eat healthier.
Unfortunately pizza was supper last night.

  6. Cannabis is now legal in our area, so I’m very interested in instant pot. Just kidding. Last evening I had pasta-free mac-n-cheese at Silver Diner. Had to eat out because I don’t have an instant pot. Take care.

  7. – I’ve heard good things about the Insta-Pot.
    – I’ve been wanting to drink more water, but that hasn’t happened yet!
    – Last night I cooked spaghetti with my homemade spaghetti sauce. The sauce I make has only 1/2 point (WW)!

  8. I’d like an Instant Pot so that I can make my own yogurt. I have issues with my digestive system and I have found that yogurt is a good fit for me in that sense. It would also help me to make a good meal in less amount of time.

I’ve wanted to lose at least 50 lbs without much success. I’ll loose 5 lbs and then get bored and gain most of it back.

I had bacon and eggs for dinner last night.

  9. I would like an Instant Pot because I have been using one at the seniors club when we do the weekly soup and sandwich lunches. I absolutely love it. Quick and easy to use.

I would love to try and make cheesecake in the instant pot.

Last night we had fish and chips with soup.

Love your website. Fantastic recipes with WW points.
