The winner of the InstantPot is Doris B. who said…

  1. I do not own an instant pot, but have so many recipes that I would like to try. It would be nice to own one.
  2. I would love to get something on the table fast because I rarely make anything that takes too long. With an instant pot I would be able to try some things that I would not do the traditional way.
  3. Tonight, I am making chicken fried steak according to Marlene Koch. It is WW friendly, but time consuming, but it is one of my husband’s favorites.

Congratulations Doris. Please send an email to support@simple-nourished-living.com to claim your Instant Pot!

Confession: I still haven’t learned to use my instant pot (affiliate link) with regularity. So I’ve decided to devote what remains of 2020 to overcoming my resistance with a Challenge!

It’s been nearly two years since I assembled this list of 50 WW Friendly Instant Pot Recipes in response to requests from readers. At the time I admitted that while I have an Instant Pot, I used it mostly for it’s saute and slow cook functions. I promised myself I would learn to use all its other functions, especially pressure cooking.

I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve made virtually no progress.  I know it would make life easier, especially with meal prep. But what they say is: A goal without a plan is just a wish.

So, I’ve decided to take the Tiny Habits: The Small Changes That Change Everything (affiliate link) approach: I’m setting teeny tiny goal(s) for myself.

Tiny Habits Instant Pot Challenge

  1. Learn something new about the Instant Pot every day (right after I read my morning devotional)  and record it here on My Getting Started with the Instant Pot Success Guide
  2. Use my Instant Pot once a week (Sunday afternoons) and share the recipe on Simple Nourished Living.
  3. Celebrate these accomplishments.

To kick things off I’m giving away the  Instant Pot (affiliate link) Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker I purchased several years ago:

  1. I remember my mom using a pressure cooker that was built into her stove when I was little. I keep seeing this little cookers all over and would just love to give it a try. But, we live on a fixed income so it really isn’t anything I can afford. It would be great to win one.

  2. I would LOVE to have an Insta Pot because we go out to eat way too much which causes unhealthy eating and weight gain. I would love to be able to get dinner on the table quickly and our meal be healthy which in turn would help us lose weight and definitely build my self confidence which would help in every aspect of my life.

The thing I have been wanting to accomplish with little success is to lose weight and build my self confidence.

Last night for dinner we had a Dairy Queen burger which is totally unhealthy. If I had an Insta Pot I would have been able to get something healthy on the table quickly.

  3. Why do I need an instant pot? I’m a weight watcher and I work 2 jobs. Self explanatory.
My WW buddies tell me their instant pot makes beans smooth and velvety in a fraction of the time. Mine still turn out a bit waxy unless I use the crock pot all day. Everybody has their fail. Right?
Last night I made shrimp and whole wheat spagetti with a lemon cream sauce that only required a half cup of half and half for eight servings, the guys and the neighbor lived it, even went back for seconds. Little did they know it was WW friendly.

  4. I would love to be able to be able to just to get supper on the table faster.

I am in the process of trying to use up the ingredients and pantry items I have, but it is not going good. I keep on finding another recipe I want to try that I have to go out and buy ingredients for and don’t use what I have.

Last night’s supper was Cajun Cabbage Soup

  5. My sister brought her Instant Pot to a visit we paid with my mother, and we had a blast trying new recipes for the Instant Pot for a week! Would be great to have one at home. My goal is to get back to my post-heart attack shape from 4 years ago (I’m 20 lbs over right now). Have had success right away (lost 10 in January – I was 30 up at that time), but I am focused to keep trying. We had shrimp paprikash over kohlrabi noodle with broccoli and salad for dinner. Fingers crossed I will be lucky in this drawing.

  6. I want to be able to make healthy meals quickly. I’ve lost 20 pounds but need to lose another 20 and I need quick and healthy, low calorie, low fat recipes. Last night we had American Chop suey with ground turkey.

  7. I have wanted one for the last year, but just have not gone ahead and purchased one. Right now I am on a modified Me to diet and have lost 67 pounds, but I want to to try some new recipes using an instant pot. Last night for dinner I had 1 piece of fried chicken, and a dill pickle. I would be honored if you picked me as your winner.

  8. I am Bern debating about buying an Indyspot. I want to try something new.,.Last night I had your recipe of Light Mrstballs. They were felicious!

  9. I am very active with my grandchildren. An instant pot would certainly make life easier and smoother.
I continually start to exercise but do not continue like I should.
Spaghetti sauce made with ground turkey over zoodles.
