The winner of the InstantPot is Doris B. who said…
- I do not own an instant pot, but have so many recipes that I would like to try. It would be nice to own one.
- I would love to get something on the table fast because I rarely make anything that takes too long. With an instant pot I would be able to try some things that I would not do the traditional way.
- Tonight, I am making chicken fried steak according to Marlene Koch. It is WW friendly, but time consuming, but it is one of my husband’s favorites.
Congratulations Doris. Please send an email to support@simple-nourished-living.com to claim your Instant Pot!
Confession: I still haven’t learned to use my instant pot (affiliate link) with regularity. So I’ve decided to devote what remains of 2020 to overcoming my resistance with a Challenge!
It’s been nearly two years since I assembled this list of 50 WW Friendly Instant Pot Recipes in response to requests from readers. At the time I admitted that while I have an Instant Pot, I used it mostly for it’s saute and slow cook functions. I promised myself I would learn to use all its other functions, especially pressure cooking.
I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve made virtually no progress. I know it would make life easier, especially with meal prep. But what they say is: A goal without a plan is just a wish.
So, I’ve decided to take the Tiny Habits: The Small Changes That Change Everything (affiliate link) approach: I’m setting teeny tiny goal(s) for myself.
Tiny Habits Instant Pot Challenge
- Learn something new about the Instant Pot every day (right after I read my morning devotional) and record it here on My Getting Started with the Instant Pot Success Guide.
- Use my Instant Pot once a week (Sunday afternoons) and share the recipe on Simple Nourished Living.
- Celebrate these accomplishments.
To kick things off I’m giving away the Instant Pot (affiliate link) Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker I purchased several years ago:

The versatility of this 7-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker (affiliate link), Steamer, Sauté, Yogurt Maker and Warmer really seems amazing…

Why do you want an instant pot? to be able to make stuff easier / more healthy.
What’s something you’ve been wanting to accomplish with little progress? losing weight.
What did you have for dinner last night? pork chops and salad
I would like to make ahead dinners for a few days,
I was always afraid of a pressure cooker, but need to overcome the fear,
We had bonless center cut pork chops in Cuisinart press, rice and edamami.
Thank you!
I want an instant pot because we bought a small farm last year and chores hold us late and tired so cooking something delicious or healthy is out of the question. I also have a garden and the instant pot would make meal prep and canning helpful since we plan to expand this year. I’m always ready to loose weight but realize nutrition is the only way. Last night we had baked pork chops, boiled carrots, baked potato and roll.
It’s been a hard 1/2 year for me with 3 skin cancer surgeries where I couldn’t work out due to not being able to raise my heart rate by doctor’s orders, then my dog of 17 years died. He was my whole family and support. Through this I didn’t maintain my weight loss and gained back 23 pounds. I am not going to continue this self-indulgent slide. I went to the gym yesterday and met with a trainer. Came home from this and saw your instant pot post. I am hoping to kick start my weight loss again so I bought an egg slicer on the way to the gym, and just bought some built bars with your site’s discount added. I’m adjusting to the scars and heart ache and want to look and be my best. I’ve heard instant pots are great for hard boiled eggs, soups, and tasty meals easily made on a budget. Last night I made some chicken stir fry with mushrooms and broccoli.
Would love to win an instsapot
I would be able to have dinner ready, a healthy dinners, after being. On the lake, or out and about , then I wouldn’t worry about dinner . it would be done. I am having trouble getting back on weight watchers and losing weight. We celebrated my husband 70th bday and had pizza! I am keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you have a great week.
I want an instant pot so bad. I keep seeing WW recipes for them and they sound so delicious and easy. I think they will really help me stay on plan since they will save me time. Time is my major setback to making healthy meals..I like something quick. Last night I ate a grilled filet mignon, 1/2 a baked potato and corn (my brother had me over for a BBQ).
I’d love an Instant Pot! Mainly because SO many times I start to make something, only to realize that there is a step in the recipe that takes 45 minutes, and we end up eating dinner very late. Something I want to accomplish but still haven’t made much progress on is establishing a blueprint exercise routine. My mother exercises every single day and she is 91 and looks much younger and is very agile for her age! Dinner last night was Spinach Tortellin en Brodo with turkey meatballs.
I’d like to have an Instant Pot so when Martha got around to using hers and coming up with great recipes–I could enjoy using it and having great meals.
I am trying to getbetter with learning how to air-layer Camellias.
Last night I had a Spinach Salad with mushrooms, bacon, hard boiled eggs, red onion, crutons, and warm bacon dressing. My SPLURGE !!
I want an instant pot because mine is broke and I miss it terribly!! Love it for low point soups and hard boiled eggs. I really want to concentrate on meal planning to make the most of my points every dat. Last night I had meatloaf, mashed potatoes and peas.
