The winner of the InstantPot is Doris B. who said…
- I do not own an instant pot, but have so many recipes that I would like to try. It would be nice to own one.
- I would love to get something on the table fast because I rarely make anything that takes too long. With an instant pot I would be able to try some things that I would not do the traditional way.
- Tonight, I am making chicken fried steak according to Marlene Koch. It is WW friendly, but time consuming, but it is one of my husband’s favorites.
Congratulations Doris. Please send an email to support@simple-nourished-living.com to claim your Instant Pot!
Confession: I still haven’t learned to use my instant pot (affiliate link) with regularity. So I’ve decided to devote what remains of 2020 to overcoming my resistance with a Challenge!
It’s been nearly two years since I assembled this list of 50 WW Friendly Instant Pot Recipes in response to requests from readers. At the time I admitted that while I have an Instant Pot, I used it mostly for it’s saute and slow cook functions. I promised myself I would learn to use all its other functions, especially pressure cooking.
I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve made virtually no progress. I know it would make life easier, especially with meal prep. But what they say is: A goal without a plan is just a wish.
So, I’ve decided to take the Tiny Habits: The Small Changes That Change Everything (affiliate link) approach: I’m setting teeny tiny goal(s) for myself.
Tiny Habits Instant Pot Challenge
- Learn something new about the Instant Pot every day (right after I read my morning devotional) and record it here on My Getting Started with the Instant Pot Success Guide.
- Use my Instant Pot once a week (Sunday afternoons) and share the recipe on Simple Nourished Living.
- Celebrate these accomplishments.
To kick things off I’m giving away the Instant Pot (affiliate link) Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker I purchased several years ago:

The versatility of this 7-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker (affiliate link), Steamer, Sauté, Yogurt Maker and Warmer really seems amazing…

Good Luck!

I would love to try to make yogurt in an inta pot and try so many interesting recipes I see for one. I am struggling to exercise more, due to disability I have little energy so motivation is lacking. Last night I made air fryer pork chops, spinach and twice baked potatoes lightened up. Love your site.
Would love to win. Would make our life so much easier
I already have an Instant Pot but would love a second one to cook other items at the same time. One thing I wish I had accomplished is to attempt to make a cheesecake in the Instant Pot. I’ve been scared to try it. Last night, I had WW green bean chili in the Instant Pot.
I too put off learning new devices. So hard sometimes!!
I would love to have a 6 quart instant pot. I started with the 3 quart and sometimes I want to use two at ounce! That way I would make risotto and shrimp in one and my favorite dessert-low fat cheesecake in the other.
Last night’s dinner was lemon thyme chicken breasts with brussel sprouts.
1. I want an instant pot to help my husband who has recently begun preparing crockpot dinners on the two days he works at home. He is supporting me on my WW journey. Currently he is recycling the same recipes. I think an instant pot would help him to diversify.
2. I recently purchased a stationary bike and I am having trouble making time to use it.
3. Last night for dinner my husband cooked crockpot chicken and vegetables. It was delicious ?.
Why do you want an instant pot? To prepare healthier foods for both e and my husband.
What’s something you’ve been wanting to accomplish with little progress? Breaking out of the routine of the same foods. I’d like to experiment!
What did you have for dinner last night? Homemade pizza.
As a recent widow I am finding it difficult to gear down to fewer or single serving
meal planning.
Always enjoy trying new appliances so feel now would be a great time to LEARN something brand new.

When I was a child my Mom had a pressure cooker…and I had one when I was first married 48 years ago….I am now working two jobs and am tired and exhausted when I come home. An instant pot would definitely help me to eat healthier because I could cook foods faster and healthier…last night I had one meatball and a portion of pasta.
1) I’m intrigued with how to make yogurt, which I eat every day. And would like the time saving features of the Instant Pot.
2) I’d like to break through the plateau of losing 50 pounds. I still have another 20 to go, and just can’t seem to get past the 50.
3) Grilled shrimp with zucchini noodles. First time trying the frozen zucchini noodles, they have a different texture than fresh, but were still good.
